Fort Wayne, Indiana is a great place to spend a weekend. Here are some tips on how to spend a weekend in Fort Wayne.
Fort Wayne is the second largest city in Indiana and is located in between Detroit and Indianapolis. Fort Wayne has a lot of great history dating back to the days of the Miami Indians, and the area was important due to its short portage between the Wabash and Maumee Rivers. I explore the city of Fort Wayne and check out where three historic forts used to be including one which is a replica of the third fort. I also check out some different museums and landmarks like the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Allen County Library (includes the Genealogy Center), and the Firefighter's Museum. Fort Wayne also has some beautiful parks right in the city: Promenade Park and Headwaters Park.
For food, I got to enjoy some tasty coney dogs at Fort Wayne's Famous Coney Island and dinner at Tolon.

Fort Wayne is an up and coming city that is going places and has a very bright future ahead. It's downtown is really changing with a lot of building projects going on over there especially with its riverfront development which is now entering in its second phase of construction. Fort Wayne really got it going on over there so stay tuned.

Fort Wayne government needs to understand that it is not Indianapolis, and never will be. They want to be Indianapolis so bad, they can't stand it.

I had been there multiple times, in a different season visiting friends. Beautiful city, it maybe boring for younger people. Teenagers But nice city if you want to raise families with out all the problems you’ll see in bigger cities, like LA,NEW YORK etc.

Very nice! That is great to know. I enjoyed exploring the city. I agree that I did not see many attractions there for younger people to enjoy (except the parks along the river), but it is great for people whom are interested in history.

There’s alot of history of the miami indians and battle there i only live 32 miles from there your close to ft. Recovery oh same indians defeated the army there Thanks for sharing Happy holidays

Yes, Fort Wayne is a good city, I've been living in the area ever since the day that I was born. As a native, we are welcoming to visitors, but if you're going to move here, please do not bring your politics with you, Chicago has been bringing in a lot problems.
