@revolutionfrommahbed42464 жыл бұрын
Ale with a tale agreed. “Arguing” typically indicates some degree of anger or negative emotion involved. To debate, disagree or discuss alternative ideas doesn’t require the expenditure of emotional capital at all. In fact, when it becomes a real “argument” I typically walk away because the discussion isn’t fun anymore 🤷🏼♀️

There are a few other patterns I picked up.. this one for NTPs in general: There is a kind of mechanical movement to their hands when they are explaining something, like their hands move down then left like as if someone indented on a type writer, and they also do weird like circle movements... It's like they are iron Man playing with the the touch screen Jarvis thing he has in the movie... Also, for ENTPs they make dad jokes and they kind of hold it as if they are trying to break the fourth wall and also they tend to have a very childish kind of look on their face and in their tone of voice at the very end of the joke

It's funny because that's common place for me (an ENTP). Inferring from your comment you're a bit younger than I am. The only advice I can give you is to choose something that will help you develop your talents while being open enough that you're not stuck in one field. For instance petroleum engineering is too specific and you might not like the work. Study a broader engineering like mechanical or electrical. You'll be able to find jobs in many industries

Depending on your age and interests ... I found personally that I HAD to fail, meaning to delve willingly into a doomed abyss of a life choice, in order to gain the experience needed to feel satisfied. I wasn't happy studying languages, but I still love studying it. => I wasn't meant to be tested on my theoretical knowledge of languages because I've got strong feelings and a strong intuition when it comes to communication and languages. So this field has to stay a side hobby for me. Same goes for psychology, sociology, even hard sciences. I found out after failing in many fields in Universities, just by never showing up for exams which I still believe I would have utterly destroyed, I found out that what truly made me feel happy was "interacting with others" => Just like Eric said, figuring out what they want, how they want it and such. And this led me to social work. Which is not at all an ambitious career choice here in France, pretty badly paid and all. But i get to discover new people, with mostly difficult life stories to tell, every day. And I never felt happier. So just in case you might find yourself in my situation someday ... get to know your feelings more than your abilities, it'll serve you well in smiling more on a daily basis. Because I believe ENTPs are such cameleons that we're all able to do pretty much anything, therefore we get told that should follow the "best fucking option". Spoiler : we don't. You don't.

I believe I ask excellent questions because of this, like psychoanalysis level questions but at a bar. I also think I view people as data :\ Every social experience either adds to an existing theory or creates a new one. I think that's what makes us feel so isolated or as if we did not belong. It's hard for me to connect when I see them as reflections of societal or cultural norms they learned growing up (again data). yep, that's it, people are data to us... like a story i know the ending to, every once in a while there's a plot twist. This always happens that's why I have to always rewind KZfaq videos and shows I'm watching coz I get so intrigued and caught up in figuring out the information presented to me first that I miss out on what follows and is said next. So I have to always rewind or either pause the video/show/movie until I settle my racing thoughts. I'm hoping this makes sense lol. Does it happen to anyone else too, I'm curious to know? I am an ENTP married to an ISFP and I know exactly what you mean.
@TojoRo4 жыл бұрын
My best friend is an ISFP! I recently did a quick analysis of my thoughts on our friendship dynamic and this is what I wrote: My best friend is the ISFP, and from what I’ve found through quick google search results, is that we’re not really supposed to be friends because we are so different from one another. But really, I believe that’s what makes our friendship work. We’ve been best friends for going on 7 years, and we don’t really have many fights (we do have many a disagreement, however). From what we both have observed, she used to take my friendship for granted, and that would upset me, because I would rely on her the most for emotional support (even though my mother is an ESFJ). As adults, she finds comfort in knowing I’m always there for her, but she does not like to show me her weak side. She always would hate bothering me with her woes as she thought she would bother me (she knows it doesn’t) and I also did not really come to her for emotional support on an issue as it was and still is not something I do. Of course as I have matured, I know how to open up with how I am feeling and I’m still learning to reach out to my friends instead of dealing with something on my own. Although I do want her to come to me when she’s feeling down (and she does), I am literal booty at providing emotional support, so I find that the best thing that I can do is to get her to laugh, as I am naturally a humorous person, and we share a lot of the same humor. One thing we both enjoy doing is calling each other on facetime and just not talking. We both like to bask in the other’s presence, even though it is only virtual. (My INFP friend does not understand this). She enjoys watching movies, spending time with her friends, frequently rearranges the furniture and decoration in her room, and plans to be a teacher.

At first, I was pretty skeptical of the video based on the title, but after watching this, I'm amazed at how accurate everything is. I see almost every trait you mentioned in myself as an ENTP and am excited to use these body language traits for possibly finding other ENTPs.

I just finished my (super weird covid) interview for a program/career I’ve been working towards and I to prepare I watched some ENTP videos so I could gather information that was positive about myself (as an ENTP I am highly critical of myself) and noticed I kept looking up and my eyes “wandered” like you said. Thank you for your videos I use these to build my self esteem :)

I’m an INTJ and I’ve always loved the ENTP personalities even before taking the test and even before knowing anything about it ! They’ve been always the most attractive type to me and even though I searched over and over, the only ENTPs I’ve seen are those fictional characters in movies and anime I even thought that they only exist in fiction until I knew about the test ! I do wish to meet an ENTP in real life and this is why I came here btw 😂

What the heck? I am an infp and I thought I am the most curious about learning about different people! I am so deeply fascinated with how different people work to understand them better and know how I should act with them to connect with them. One of the biggest differences between me and my infj friend is that whenever she starts liking, let's say a certain musician's music, she just listens to their music, but when I'm in the same situation, I feel such a great need to get to know what kind of a person that musician is! And I end up digging so deep that I completely can feel the person and know almost everything that's knowable about them. I don't learn about everyone at once, but when I get interested in someone, I want to learn everything about them

It's funny when you said that our eyes are open and studious because it's really true. I rarely look people in their eyes, I'm usually studying their face. And if I'm talking to someone I have a tendency to constantly scan the room or the street that I'm in and people have pointed it out to me thinking I was being rude, but I was just doing it without thinking and was completely (sort of) paying attention to them.
@ErikThor3 жыл бұрын
Funny how different often equates to rude to other people. We tend to perceive maliciously what we dont fully understand.
@bakersmileyface3 жыл бұрын
@@ErikThor Very true. After that, we either push what we don't understand away or try to fix it and turn it into something we do understand. Very few people accept different for what it is.

Im ENTP, your points check out 100%, but also fascinatingly enough, My eyes are similar(but more green, and red lol), You got the same thin straw like hair with double crown hair, first person to ever have hair like me(only know one other confirmed ENTP irl though).. almost same colour too although a lil darker on the ash blonde scale.. but most fascinating of all, the same type of facial hair pattern - mini mutton connectors - that always come back in a nanosecond. Thanks for some of those S point's though, we don't really appreciate ourselves like that alot.. not without a mask atleast. Ego feels wrong, but charm n whit flows so smooth when we are on a roll.. Leading people and silent sacrifices or fixtures of fate are a forte once we grow out into Fe for real.

Okay so if you learn about psych you'll eventually find out that eye movements correspond to thought processes. Left = recall; right = imagine; high = visual; mid = auditory; down = internal (down left = feel; down right = think). Sufficient to say, you can tell a lot when talking with someone by watching where their eyes go. We entps move our eyes because we are making connections between things we know and things that could be, while comparing them and checking them against how they might play out, etc. Read about eye movements it's useful information

I don't consider or notice the eye movement thing. For me it is losing my sight on something or looking at something and thinking about something else, like talking to someone and listening at the same time, thinking about what that wart on their forehead might be. or what meanings do the wrinkles on your face have? If you have Googled before, tell me “what kind of wrinkles you have and I will tell you who you are.”
