24:00 You're already importing most of the crops (and paying for them), so adding a 2nd animal pasture will only result in even more imports of crops to feed them(!) I'd spam more fields so you're 100% self sufficient.
@manoyal4 жыл бұрын
I think that import is some kind of problem with game, I too faced it when I had farm 'district' near my farm Industry area, maybe the industry is importing crops from the farm district? No matter how many fields I placed it still was importing a little bit of crops ,but when I removed my farm district ,that import was gone
@seanlando29614 жыл бұрын
The problem is how he has the storage set. Setting it to empty will prevent over importing goods early on. Basically the game imports goods to fill it on balanced or fill mode. Not sure why. On empty your imports will be much lower but if you aren't producing enough buildings will shutdown until some goods are imported.
@suzannebaxter36614 жыл бұрын
Too many farms can actually make it worse because the trucks are constantly exporting crops, which takes a long time so while they're doing that, the animal pasture gives up waiting and imports crops. The limiting factor is usually not how much of a resource you have, but your ability to move it around. That, and logistics in this game is kind of borked in vanilla.
@DougalAAllan4 жыл бұрын
Yes you are all quite right, there are lots of factors to consider. Fields will produce more crops over time as they fill up with workers. Storage buffers can make a difference so you always have enough crops stored to satisfy the demands of your pastures. There are also issues of timing, with the cycles of each not matching up perfectly and sometimes imports being needed to cover the lag (see storage above for how to deal with that a bit). Number of trucks and what they're doing. Often I'll plop a cargo train station or airport close by so any exporting is done quicker, freeing them up to get back to in-house delivering. At least we don't have to worry about soil quality, weather issues causing failed crops, labour disputes and all the other things real agriculture has to consider :p

Likewise, it's forbidden to promote it !!! Don't ask me why, it's been like that since the earliest times !!! Also we condemn you to not build Roundabouts during the next 33 minutes of episodes. Considering that your show has made Mossissobo widely known throughout the world, we are reducing your sentence to 22 minutes. To relax, at Mossissobo, however, it's allowed to consume snails in garlic butter, fried pork brains, beef tongue in sauce, frog legs nuggets, soup or nettle infusion.

your new city is off to a great start. almost time to start thinking about which square you want to expand into. as an idea, that starting roundabout you have there, could you brace it with walking paths instead of roads? it wouldn't look the greatest but you wouldn't need to keep putting them in and taking them out again and wasting money. you can leave them until you no longer need to make changes to the roundabout also, perhaps you could put a commemorative stature or decorative item in it to mark it as the starting point of your city? oh, and name it or otherwise mark it as the founding round-a-bout.

Try to reserve your fertile land for buildings (farms) that require it. Animal pastures can be built without fertile land, but fruit farms cannot, so your animal pasture should be built on non-fertile land. You will probably need to shuffle your industry buildings around if you find that you have run out of fertile land for larger farms at a later date.

The first thing I do is not roads but water and sewage, you got to put water intake where the water comes in to the map and sewer where water leaves the map, then you have to put the intake and sewer as far away from each other as possible or your people will get sick. then you can build roads to your water. You have to watch your money closely or you will run out of money for roads because you need electric windmills at water intake and sewer.

I think key is the right ratio of living areas, commerce and industry. And time - Let the city "breath" before building more and more stuff. My problem is that the city end up being boring. They are practical.. thanks to your traffic advice I learned to keep my traffic flow usually on 80-85 %. But they look just boring. I think, I have the bad habit to use up all available space. Looking forward to watching this series. Just recently i started watching this channel and now i've bought cities skylines due to it. You've got great videos. I've got no idea what i am doing while i am playing, but so far it'd say i am doing pretty decent, if anything the complaints about educated workers is the issue, even with all my schools placed.. look forward to watching more videos and learning your tricks for placements as you build!

I think Teaport needs a cruise ship terminal! Plus an intercity train station to bring new passengers in and out of the facility!

Nice! 100km/h on the roundabout and then into a dirt road, wish we had that over here

Can’t wait for the next one, tbh. I came into TeaVille a bit late, so it’s exciting to be here for the beginning of a new build.

They way you placed those pedestrian paths in between the houses still means they have to walk all the way around a block. You should connect the 2 long sides with a path to create short cuts for pedestrians.

New city, fresh start. Excited for this. :) Noticed despawning was on when you were working on the junction on the roundabout. :)

Biffa! I’m excited to see some detailing in your city as you move forward. I loved watching your golf course episode and it really made me look into detailing vids

New video shortly after the last one. New map. New background music. Biffa, you're spoiling us! Also, thank you for answering my last comment and pointing me to your current mod list.

I gotta say. I don't own this game. Probably never will although it looks fantastic. I enjoy watching these videos because your tone and pace are perfect. You explain things well and you just open imagination. It takes me away from my wife and kids 30 min at a time.
