As a teacher (dance and music), granted we all have our approaches and styles, I freakin' love yours and am looking forward to taking your classes once I clear current projects. Chill, positive, but also disciplined, technical, progressive (breaking down technical skills into smaller pieces), regressive (for the same reason, if you forget, you can always go back to the previous pieces). This is not a review, as I said, but it's clear to me from just your snippets and other videos.

Thanks glad you like the method. Skating is suuuuuper technical, it really does matter the order you practice things in and the movements you do. They add up! Look forward to hearing how it goes.

I was skating "a bit" since i was 20 or so - my first tires were made of hard plastic and hollow inside . With 48 there were these "2 years of boredom". So i decided to get a pair of FR-1 and said now or never. No i am 52 and switched to 90mm 3 wheel frames. Currently in Torre del mar (best place in Andalusia btw) and hoping to skate till the last breath. So weather is nice - lets rolllllll.

Spain is so awesome for skating. Glad you found your way back to your wheels and your new life on them. Brava! I'll be in BCN and Valencia in September. Can't wait.

Ismét és mindig: Szuper Asha ! 😍Imádom! ... Again and again: Super Asha! 😍I love it! ... And of course your students are clever too! Let me brag about mine! This year, I taught 7 children from the national 3x3 hockey champion U14 team I'm learn to skate. I am very proud of them! And of course, I can also thank you a little for this, for your inspiration from you! Thanks! Very, very Thanks!

Wow, I love seeing people from all ages learning wizard moves. :) I have Asha's Wizard course (among intermediate and advanced courses) and they are super useful. I keep going back to them to re-check whenever I have any questions.

Thanks for sharing your experience and well done you for investing in your skating progress by using an online course instead of floundering alone or wading through KZfaq.... My aim was to provide practical training for real people to use on their own, at their own pace. Keep going! It's a cyclical process.

@@SkatefreshVideos What I like from your courses is that all the technical data is there, super well explained in detail. I absorb from everything I see and I'm hungry for information, especially when I feel a given move is not there yet and there is for sure some detail I'm not aware of. Like the details about the cross-under in barrel rolls which I had to go back and watch your explanation about them. Next was to buy a cheap action cam and record myself which I find invaluable. Again, I thought my cross-unders were good until I saw myself xD

Hi asha i need help i get no ankle bend when im skating forwards but when im skating backwards i get a lot of ankle bend especially in scissor position. Or doing backwards swizzles.
@SkatefreshVideos
@SkatefreshVideos Ай бұрын
@Jeff_Fish123 well your ankles are physically able to flex as your backwards is proof, so the question is, why is it harder to flex the ankles and knees or less intuitive when going forwards? I think it’s because it is the correct technique and it produces acceleration and many skaters don’t want too much of that. Also it’s physically demanding and we skate forwards for longer periods of time than backwards…. So we “rest” while skating forwards when we don’t flex the ankles. Hope this helps. You have to force yourself to do it at first. Your body will resist like all physically demanding things. But keep going.

Asha, are rockered frames needed to learn wizard skating?
@SkatefreshVideos
@SkatefreshVideos 2 ай бұрын
They certainly help with creating the tighter turns and curves that characterise wizard skating. But they Arne't 100% necessary to start learning. You'll just have to be more precise with your movements to create the tight curves on longer frames with more wheels touching the ground. You can look back in y older urban/wizard skating playlist and see me on 3x110 doing a lot of the wizard like transitions on huge wheels. But I wouldn't recommend that. See how you go flat and then decide if you want to upgrade. But work on the technique over anything as the secrets to success lie there.
@SaccoBelmonte
@SaccoBelmonte 2 ай бұрын
You can use a flat frame but for sure, a 100% you wanna let the wheels develop a natural rocker by turning a lot the first few sessions and instead of rotating your wheels you only flip their sides. A pure flat setup is a no-no in my opinion. You'll need to lift the toe or heel wheels, otherwise you can trip. I wouldn't even attempt a lion/gazelle with a new flat setup. Nope!

since i am using a 3 wheel frame i dont rocker any more. Hard enough to keep rubbers on the same size without rocker.
