As an artist myself I can say that having no motivation is a normal thing . I struggled with it for a long time but now you can find any inspirations on different apps : pinterest, instragram and much more. This video literally made me cry. I've been struggling with having faith in myself and my art. When I saw you trying out the new oil pastels and creating an amazing artwork, it reminded me why I started to make art in the first place. To get lost in the process, feeling like I'm not even in the room anymore. Just my artwork and me. To feel proud of what I created and to surprise myself every time I finish a piece. Thank you so much! I really needed this and I'm sure many other struggling artists feel the same way.

I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida and have been to the Dali museum many times. Each time is just as magical and amazing as the first time! Every inch of that place, inside and out, is an inspiration. They've also had temporary exhibits with my fav artists, Magritte and Escher, and I was over the moon ❤ A trip to this, or ANY art museum should cure art block. Thanks for your insights on an issue that every artist experiences. On a side note, I'm marveling at the creative talent you showed at such a young age! I wish I had shown evidence of artistic talent while I was young because I would have gotten more encouragement from family and teachers. The only thing that kept me going was my passion for the arts. Encouragement (or lack of) has such an impact on your whole life. Even if you become an accomplished artist as an adult, if you were negatively impacted in childhood, you will always be haunted by seeds of doubt that were sown in childhood.

a person that inspired me to pick up art when I was a kid is a content creator here on this platform. It was fanart that got me truly hooked, I've always been drawing and doodling, but that was the true turning point. Very very recently a close friend of mine became friends with that creator. Through that friend I can send the creator some of my art and stickers to give them a bit of that happiness they unknowingly contributed to giving me. I'm so increcibly excited about that, aaaaah

I am self taught and am constantly working with what I love which means I see everything and believe that the memories of the life I have been living I love capturing my favorite memories and I’m over 65 years young . I have always been interested in art and oil was my first experience and I thought I would try my luck with watercolors . Capturing all of the memories I have will keep me busy . Good luck everyone.

I'm one of the much people that you inspired. I feel so identify 'cause since I have use to my conscience I like to draw, but since I enter in 5th grade I started drawing with more detail before I'ven drawing anime, and that's my base; but now that I'm in nine grade, as you I can appreciate the perfectly and the beauty from the nature and now I draw based in the nature more than the anime, like more esthetically or the complexity etc... Then I saw this video, help me to give a big step making advances, putting effort and push me to be better. In your drawings we can saw that your soul is resilient, cheery and always find the funny side of everything and anyhow you know how to move yourself forward. Jess, the museum you went to is a different building than it used to be. The first art museum I ever went to outside of the city I live in was the Dalí Museum in St. Pete around 2008. It was a high school field trip with my art class. I wanted to be an artist back then but didn't pursue it, and I'm trying to get back into it now. So you mentioning the Dalí Museum was very nostalgic for me and a bit of crazy timing. I don't remember anything else, but Dalí's melting clocks always stayed with me. That and his mustache, of course.

Well , you are amazing ... like when I'm feeling bad with my art im just watching one of your videos and you are just blowing , you are giving people hope and motivation , thank you for being you and just make people good in their minds . everything you do is just gorgeous , the link you have with the world and the point of vue you have from it is just perfectly well represented . seeing your video is relaxing like never . Im not an old artist and i still have a lot to learn in terms of art and english (im frensh) but the way you see things you will steel be my model . Also your studio is stunning , im very attracted by water , it's reflection and everything that's why your studio is just blowing my mind . Watching the water moving must be so motivating ... Love your Dali painting. He's one of my favourite artists too, although the older I get the more issues I have with him as a person. In a perfect world it would be possible to separate the artist from the art. Van Gogh is also one if my favourites as is Botticelli and Renoir. Thanks for sharing. There are days it all goes wrong and I fear people won’t believe the days that go right because the risk taking vs skill full art is so vast. Yet the challenge keeps me going and I have always loved the tactile nature of art long before I actually drew the world around me. If I have a sketch down the art is precise but if I figure it out within the paint process it’s looser and sometimes it pays off. I love how you show all the different styles and approaches; and yet it is all you, showing different parts of yourself. I could never stick to just the one approach to art and doesn’t seem to confuse people too much 😀 Lovely video and art 😁

You are so incredibly talented. However, it's so easy (from the outside looking in) to forget how much *practice* you have put in to your art to get where you are today. That huge, squishy portfolio full had me just: wow. The glimpse inside was a treat. ❤️

Truly inspiring! Beautiful job. It looks like drawing with lipstick or those grease-paint make-up crayons my mom used for Halloween face painting.
