For me the most important to stay vegan is to discover new foods, new recipes, new restaurants etc. If you have a very limited repertoire and you keep eating the same things you may get tired of those foods. When I travel I go to vegan restaurants and I try new things. I love that.

Im having a really hard time staying vegan, and this helped a lot! I started maybe about two weeks ago and ive been buying vegan foods from like trader joes and other places. Last night i was really hungry after a whole day of hiking and i went to olive garden with my family after, and there were very few options and nothing looked filling... so i ordered pasta with a cheesy marinara sauce and a salad with nonvegan dressing and the croutons of course. I was so ashamed and today im back to being determined of sustaining this lifestyle. My family however is still eating fish and chicken and dairy and eggs and ive told them so many times that we shouldnt eat animal products, but its not getting to them... :(

Great advice Tino! For new vegans, meal planning is very important. A great idea for dinner is to base your meal with a bean, green, and a grain and add upon that. Its very satisfying and there are so many variations to play upon. I'm just becoming established in the vegan KZfaq scene and I've learned so much, its humbling to be a part of a smart, entertaining, and welcoming community.

great tips, tino! I think educating yourself is so so important, especially on the ethical side of things. I see a lot of people going vegan for health and then giving up on it because they can't be bothered 'being healthy' any more, but I could never imagine myself doing that as I am vegan for the animals and the environment...health is just a huge benefit :)

Tino, you mentioned social media but you did not mentioned youtube! :) There are gonna be people out there who don't have the privilege to have vegan events around them. Therefore, they will not be fortunate enough to go to events to hear vegan motivational speakers. However, youtube brings them to your house :) there are tons of videos of kick ass people like Tino :) all you have to do is enter the word vegan + whatever you would like to know on the search bar and you will have tons of videos to your back and call. I've been Vegan for almost 10 years and youtube was barely beginning back then. Any research I wanted to do then, I had to go to google or worse Peta :( but hey, it worked :) I'm still a Vegan and what keeps me motivated is everything you're saying and youtube :) I come and listen to you and many other vegans who remind me and updated of any news in the Vegan world :) Thank you for this awesome video :)

When I started eating vegan, I didn't concern myself with healthy foods and whole foods. I just knew I did not want animal biproducts. I ate Reese's cereal with Silk almond milk, peanut butter and bananas, hummus and Cape Cod chips. As long as it satisfied me and kept me vegan, I did not worry at all. If you want to ease yourself in, don't worry about eating perfectly clean. Just focus on eliminating animal biproducts.

Great video again Tino. I guess I was lucky when is went vegan. I never crave meat, poultry, fish or dairy. Hell, we even stopped using oils. My wife makes excellent vegan meals so I'm lucky. I'm finding lots of motivation. I even visited a wolf sanctuary when I was in Colorado Springs this past summer. I know people don't eat wolves but they still hunt them & need support from the vegan community.

Hey thanks for the advice..I just found your channel and subbed.I am vegan for life so no drifting away for me, but my problem is alcohol consumption..I am bipolar and have tried several medications but I always fall back on self medicating and I know its making everything worse...so here I am today making plans on doing more healthy things for myself..I am working on an outside workout area in my back yard that also can be used for meditating..and have both relaxation and motivation music near by..I know my comment is a little off topic but I just had some thoughts I wanted to express...enjoying your video while having a big bowl of vegan style potato salad...take care my friend.

Great advice, man. Another tip is for vegans to not be afraid to eat more if they're still hungry. As past omnivores we're used to being restrictive with our calories and staying hungry just to maintain a certain look>

HI there...love your channel. I was wondering if you answer a question for me. Perhaps in one of your videos. Okay...here it goes . I'm vegan. My boyfriend is an omnivore, yet he claims that he eats 95% veg and 5% meat. As a former omnivore, I can support that. Although I wish he were 100% vegan. So here's the issue. He dreams of having a farm one day. He loves growing his own veggies and he already has some fruit trees. And backyard chickens to help with manure. He probably eats their eggs right now too. Still not optimal, but better than the alternative of factory farmed eggs. So the other night we were talking about our plans for our future. And he was telling me about how he wanted to have pigs, goats, and cows on his dream farm. I thought the idea was really nice... Right up to the point that he said that he said the pig and cow would become his dinner in five years. I looked at him with utter disgust and shock and dismay. I told him that cows live for 20+ years naturally.

I did educate myself and could so it for a month and I like it a lot but my family and friends are kind of pushing me into eating milk, eggs and cheese and my mum always buys the sweets I used to love and they are always there and so I cant call myself vegan yet there isjust too much temptation even though I do try hard and like once a week there comes a chocolate bar...and I cry after thatcsometimes but it seems to be the thing that I should finally move out because I cant move forward like this and I dont want to be a vegetarian thats what I am know....I want to fully become a vegan thats my goal no matter how long it takes

Once the shift/connection has been made through movies like Earthlings and/or other means and the cognitive dissonance/trance is shattered.. the fully awakened caring compassionate individual will do whatever it takes pretty much 'automatically' to live a vegan lifestyle.. unless they are hit upside the head real hard and loses all memory (even then it may not change a thing), I think it is safe to say eating animals and their excretions is something of the past ツ

I'm the only Vegan in my high school. My roomate is vegetarian tho and I know a couple other vegetarians. I want to move to Austin for college because there are a lot more vegans there. it gets hard to be with people who eat animal products. (I'm gonna throw a vegan Halloween party bc if the food is free then it will be what I want)

It's a diet of abundance & substitution not sacrifice. Your pallet will change. Everything you eat will either help you or hurt you. If you eat what helps you, you'll be helping the planet & the animals at the same time. I know I posted twice already.......BUT VEGANISM MEANS EVERYTHING TO ME ‼️😱😰😨😂😪EVERYTHING‼️‼️‼️

So I made it through but it sucked and was extremely difficult. The first week I starved. Then I had a personal talk with my drill instructor and told them I was vegan but that tbh didn't really help either. I just got stuff like salads plain rice when they had it and fruit. I also ate a whole bunch of peanut butter and bread since that was vegan. Prob ate like a loaf a day and stocked up on peanut butter for calories and protein. For the field I told the cadres about being vegan and I managed to get some Halal MRES which the main entree was vegan. But there wasn't that many. The girls in my flight even helped me out and gave me their sides which were peanut butter and crackers. Definitely do not starve yourself as you will be doing PT everyday. It is possible but very difficult but if you are strong willed you can do it. I did it.

And pigs are smarter than dogs. Which, ironically, he has told me many times. He had 10 cats and he won't kill spiders. He brings them outside. And the other day he captured a opossum that was threatening his cats and drove it to a wooded area instead of killing it. SO WHY DOES HE WANT TO KILL HIS OWN PIG AND COW? I don't understand. And I don't know if I can continue this relationship with him if that's the way he feels. He is not making any sense at all. Talk about speciesism. Any advice?

Love this video. Totally agree with your tips. Best thing for me has been filling up on lots of fruit & starches and then my cravings for anything bad totally disappears. It's also important to find vegan replacements for your old fav's. Mine was chips & dip, but I could never find any good oil-free, vegan, minimalist chips. So I'm actually doing a crowdfunder right now to make some. So on a random note, do you have any ideas how to spread the word for the campaign? Or would you be willing to mention it in your next video? Thanks again for the great tips :) www.gofundme.com/dirkosh

Nah man. The argumentation against fat is failing - using the statement 'the fat you eat is the fat you wear' is wrong and isn't scientifically proven. Fat does contain more calories pr. gram than other foods but 100 calories of fat is the same as 100 calories of carbs. Fatty foods like avocados and nuts can even prevent cravings. Fats is as much of a basic human need as protein and carbs
