Awesome awesome video! Thanks for sharing these systems I appreciate it. Coming up on deer season in Massachusetts and I always am studying and investing in clothing to keep me warm from sun up to sun down in freezing cold rain and cold wind on mountain tops.

I agree about gilets/vests. My arms get cold, particularly if it's windy and that means frozen hands as all the warmth is gone before the blood can reach them. Insulated limbs help keep your extremities warm. Headwear is a layering system for me too - multiple beanie/cap options in combination.

I do the same for my hands, hand muff, hothands inside and very thin gloves and my hands have never been warmer. I have a handmuff with a zippered pocket on the outside and that's helpful also. Great video, thanks!

I’m the same with my feet. Check out muck boots. I’m not a hunter so they might not work for you but they kept me warm for 8 hours a day of standing around outside in New England winter

I had a pair of muckaluks. Canvas outside with wool inserts. Best for super cold weather.

Poor circulation means my toes are always cold....going to look into your boots , my last set have sprung a leak.

Grew up in WV and yes you need to carry your outer layers if you have a good walk, either way it's up and down. Likewise my feet are my problem to keep warm so with the toe hot slots did you have to buy a larger pair of boots?

I always get boots that are at least a half size (my current ones are a full size) bigger than normal. Just like my hiking boots, I want a little extra space, because your feet are going to swell if you're hiking for any distance and just from sitting in the stand. Also, a little extra air space also provides a some insulation from the cold. So, I'm not really sure if I needed extra space for these socks and hot pads, because my boots have always been a bit bigger than normal.

I use wool socks and wool base layers. Have been working on adding more wool to my gear over the last year. Had the mukluks on my list for a while, just haven't pulled the trigger on them.
