I'd add some kind of plastic or something in the hole for the paracord, as a bearing surface, so the paracord is quiet, and lasts longer.

The SwissChamp for me. While Victorinox is not “cheap” their products are more affordable than Leatherman’s and while there are several knockoffs of Victorinox their quality is not comparable. There are excellent knockoffs of Leatherman though.

It can’t be that old bc Europeans reintroduced horses to North America. Unless it’s as old as the ice age which is doubtful bc of how exposed it is to the elements to have survived 12,000 years

Judging river rapids on a 5x3" phone screen isn't terribly accurate, compared to actually being there. They certainly aren't the largest "angriest" rapids, but at a certain river height level, you would definitely have to have skills &/or confidence for kayaking down those

Congrats. I do most of my deer hunting in S.W. Ga and have access to a small farm in Ky. But every year for the last 3 years I get just as excited for a week in the panhandle hunting a WMA in late Jan early February. Too many people put down Florida hunting with the exception of turkey and gator hunting. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the place

Thanks! I don’t have huge expectations for the deer, but just working a project like this is a lot of fun for me

I hate it when the pliers on a Swiss champ are compared to leather man pliers. Swiss champ pliers aren’t and were never meant to be used in any where near the same way as leatherman pliers are.

Some of my most memorable naps, the most deep restful sleep was during deer season, out in the wild bundled up nice and warm, setting perfectly still in a hunting blind.

When i started deer hunting i was so excited to go with my dad and older brother up to my uncles house, park the truck, get our gear on and walk about a half mile into the woods in the pitch dark to the cabin my uncle built by hand. We would meet up with my other uncles and a few non relatives and drink coffee and bullshit then go start hunting once the sun came up. As the years went on my dad, uncles and friends would spend less time in the woods and more time at the cabin. Thats what deer hunting was for me, it wasnt just about getting a nice buck but it was about the time spent bonding with my father, uncles. Every season was a winner even if nobody got any deer. Plus missing school the first monday after thanksgiving was always nice.

Ive got all 3 of thise radios too. I just went all in on the GMRS PRO for my family and am super bummed how crappy the aound and range is vs the uv-9g. I really wanted this for the bluetooth so we can be wire free while skiing. The bluetooth works great but that doesn't matter if half if iur transmissions dont go through or we xant understand them. The GPS rarely seems to work to track each other. A nice future at times but you need to be on a phone looking at the map for it to really be useful (well if it worked). It would be great if i could tradk where kids are on the mountain but it just doesn't seem to work. They don't have cell ohones either tho. Hopefully a better radio with same blue Bluetooth capability comes soon. It is also nice when im just driving in the middle of nowhere scanning not having to have my family listen too.
