Every person in this story is a criminal in my book. Ross Ulbrich, the dealers on the Silk Road, Jimmy, AND the Government. But, like everything else, the Government won, so we get their Narrative.

Jimmy earned a few hundred dollars worth of bitcoin at the time of the event. This is all he should be criminally liable for. And the error was due to an unsolicited seller error that he promptly disclosed to the seller and the seller confirmed the money was so small he allowed Jimmy to keep it. In what universe is this a crime? The only criminal here is the IRS. I'm genuinely interested to see any legal argument in favor of the government.

Poor guy never had friends growing up, so he never learned the smaller lessons like that. Everyone involved lied to him just to steal his money.
