I don't think it is. I've seen the movie many times, some would say too many times; and I think it's just as hard for him as it is for any one of us. His existence depends on the Narrator's existence. Anything physical would affect them both. The only real difference between them two is the beliefs and the philosophy they have.

Tyler Durden has no fear. _That's_ what is impressive. Caring is not a bad thing. It is good. You can only feel when you care. You can only make a difference when you care. You can only succeed when you care. But you will only fear when you care. And this is the problem. Giving a fuck is a double edged sword in this one way. This is why caring intensely about a small number of things is good strategy - it allows you the benefits of both sides of caring. It allows you to feel, learn, and grow where it matters. But it also allows you to free yourself from fear where it does not. I don't believe in fearless men. I believe in men who have chosen very carefully what they fear.

My Philosophy -Be not a slave to this ever fleeting world. -Desire little. -There is no such thing as a 'soul mate' YOU ARE ALREADY COMPLETE. -You think people are talking about you behind your back, in reality your not that important. -Everyone who walks this earth is suffering, EVERYONE! So to the best of your ability be kind. -Not everyone on this planet is kind and gentle, some are real barsteds. So keep a good distance between you and them. -More often than not the real reason you hate people is NOT what they have done, but what they reflect in you. You dislike a characteristic in you but instead of dealing with it and taking responsibility you project it onto the other person. Be mindful of this.

If you have a strong belief in your worldview while you still can respect other worldviews, and you care about that to be better everyday, so you want to be better in yourself, rather than wanting to be better than others, thats something i'd call healthy.

Now's the time! The question "What truly matters to me?" is a good place to start when forming a life philosophy. If that's too broad, go with: "What would I do if I would up with $10,000,000 (after buying a bunch of new toys)?" or "If I knew I had a year to live how would I want to spend it?" or "When I am 95, looking back on my life, what decisions and experiences will I be most proud of?"
@adamwoody25537 жыл бұрын
Might I recommend Jesus. You can either create a life philosophy, which is only dependent on yourself and your feelings. Jesus offers something much larger than yourself in a way that God defines. Following Christ is a surefire way to lifelong joy no matter the circumstance, and it is wholly selfless.
@juliannar93767 жыл бұрын

@floppy_keyboard7 жыл бұрын
andrew dacunto Not always. Religion can keep you away from certain aspects of life, due to it getting in the way of your beliefs. I do agree that Jesus has some traits from his philosophy that people can adopt, but if you follow just that philosophy there's no where for growth. And you should never stop growing.
@adamwoody25537 жыл бұрын
All I'm saying is that it works for me, and there is always growth. The great thing is that there is a literal standard to live up to. It's a solid measuring stick: Am I living up to God's call for my life and how I should live? There's always more I can do to do more for others, truth to study, more transformation, and more love I can give. I love these videos because charisma, as he says frequently, is a skill that you put into practice. And like all skills, my goal is to do it for Jesus. If some that are reading this aren't interested, that's ok. I'm not going to try to force it or get mad at you or anything like that. I just want to say for me, it's the only thing that matters. Just like he says in the video, it's not that the other things don't matter, it's just in relation to my life philosophy, those things don't matter.
@somewhereoverit7114 жыл бұрын
I like how he says to find your life "philosophy" as opposed to life "purpose," because philosophy is more freeing and less confining as it's a system of thinking and a collection of ideas and thoughts, as opposed to a well-defined purpose - it's easier to understand and digest but harder to obtain because any variances we have if we reach that purpose would more than often feel like settling because it isn't "exactly" what you defined it to be.
@subzero58534 жыл бұрын
My philosophy: "finding the beauty in every moment" Im going to try and live by this by stop thinking negatively, stop living in the past and simply focusing and observing the present always. Because theres always beauty in the present, with talking with people, with being in nature, with eating food, even in those quiet moments whem your doing "nothing", there's always beauty in the present and we just need to search for it and observe it.

My philosophy: don’t worry about strangers or authority figures who won’t even remember your name in a year. Just be yourself. If people judge, that’s their problem. Let them be bothered by you and offended by what you believe in and how you live your life if they want to be bothered, and keep doing what you want to do and being who you want to be. And if they insult you, laugh it off or agree with them. After a while of doing that, the insults will no longer sting and others will be bothered by the fact that their insult had no affect in you whatsoever.

All my life I am pretending to be someone I am not to get friends,to get respect and to feel like I belong and mean something. I have just lately realized while pretending gives you something it is not what it really is. Pretending gives you fake friends fake respect and you will bring yourself even further. My Life philosophy is to embrace myself improve myself in many ways I would like to improve on and do it all for my happiness and success not for other people. Iam not going to care if people don't like me or the things I am doing as long it is not hurting others in a bad way I will keep on doing my own shit and if some people likes to roll with my shit, just being me that's fine too. I will try my best to Improve on my passion: Music to bring joy to myself and other people.

Thanks COC :).

Life philosophy: Express whats on your inside! Live from the inside, out. Not outside, in. Which means dont let anything outside of you affect YOU/ your heart or your life. Don't let judgements, expectations perceptions and other peoples opinions affect the raw you. "This is it" meaning be the now moment, dont worry about whats next or what happened. Love and accept you! Embrace and trust you! Add to peoples lives do not take! Give out positive energy and make your genuine presence be felt, when you enter a room full of people think of it as they need me, I will help and make it LIT. Talk to God and trust him and obey him always

My life philosophy is to not get clingy with my own desires. Because when I look back on my life, I have realized that most things that I love are things that I never expected to have. this literally defined my entire life. not being an asshole who didnt care about others. but what really mattered in life. i would cringe at all the stupid shit people around me did, things that made no sense and people who had to be forced by someone else to make their own decisions. but since i knew exactly what my life goals were. that was my only focus achieving my goals. and only did whatever helped me achieve those goals.

My philosophy? Question everything, base my views on experience, evidence and rational thought. I believe in loyalty to my people, kindness and respect to normal people whom I do not know and acting against those that push against the values that I feel are inherently good in the world. This includes playing in the mud with the arseholes who use the system for their own selfish desires. I believe in my mission in life, to get into politics and play in the mud with all those who play the game, in service to eventually be in a position to tear the idiocy and corruption within my government limb from limb and move us towards a future where we can achieve great things together. My philosophy is to always be learning and growing as an individual. It is making decisions based upon rationality not emotion and being so committed to my goal that I know 100% I will not stop till I am done. Family, Humanity, Progress. And being willing to apply machiavellian techniques where needed.

D E E R B E A T S What do you define as freedom? People in Africa who have no government to guide them have freedom in the sense that no one can tell them what to do yet they suffer heavily for it. People in America claim to have freedom and live with all needs taken care of and yet they have a government telling them what can and can’t be done within its borders. So I’m curious what you would define as freedom
@greenanubis5 жыл бұрын
+Austin Elick Thats a good question. I would define it as being in these 3 states at the same time, and in as big of a capacity as possible: knowing what can be done, being capable of doing it and having no need to do anything.
@RedM4a5 жыл бұрын
Divine Linker 2&3 are solid but 1 has some real holes in it. If say you are in locked in a room than what you can do is seriously limited from the start. I personally think of freedom as the ability to control/ conquer yourself, to overcome our natural wants. But that is more of an individualized way of looking at it
@greenanubis5 жыл бұрын
+Austin Elick I dont get it. You said 1(knowing what can be done) has holes but in your example its the 2(being capable of doing it) thats missing. By being capable i meant being physically in position to do it and have skill to do it and having anything thats needed to be able to do it. ability to control/ conquer yourself = having no need to do anything(having control or needs fulfilled by others), without 1&2 thats still limited to ones head.

I am absolutely sure that if man wants to achieve something and he makes efforts for it, he will definitely succeed.I'm not an adult, but I try to build my character in the best way.Actually, Charlie gives me unreal support by his videos, which really inspire me,so I would like to thank him.
