In this KZfaq video, mindfulness expert Susan provides tips on how to stop fighting and confrontation by letting go, giving in, and a third option: not engaging. Susan Thompson Tai Chi discusses with Blake O’Neill the subtle differences between “Letting Go” and “Giving In.”

This mindfulness video provides life guidance on managing emotions skillfully, stopping reactive behavior, and responding vs reacting. Learn techniques to handle disagreements with compassion, reduce stress and cortisol, and cultivate inner peace. Susan demonstrates Tai Chi and Qigong exercises to channel peaceful energy and expresses how these practices can help you lead a gentle, stress-free life. This video teaches mindfulness techniques to handle friction with compassion, manage disagreements by not engaging, and stop reactive behavior.
Susan demonstrates the subtle differences between "letting go" and "giving in" and how to apply each mindset. She demonstrates these concepts physically with Blake using Tai Chi principles. Susan has Blake grab her wrist in a pseudo-confrontation. At first she fights back to show how force against force is ineffective. Then she lets go and becomes heavy, making Blake work harder. Finally she gives in and disappears - removing anything for Blake to fight against.
She explains the physiological benefits of a non-confrontational mindset, including reduced stress, cortisol, and fight-or-flight response. Susan teaches how letting go and giving in can lead to peaceful living and conscious relationship skills to resolve conflicts.

Amazing! The Let Go exercise was so inspiring. My shoulders were burning and I was blaming my stress. Then I let Go of resisting and suddenly It felt so much lighter and smooth.

Awesome😊 I tried the jar thing and it popped immediately as a I would normally wack the edge of the of the jar on a breadboard. I took the energy from the jar does that make sense? 😊

Yes, that makes total sense. You are using the returning force of the jar to feed your structure which in turn gives you more "strength." Very well done! 👏
