Hey thanks for this tip, I’ve finally got my quad running after months of not knowing why it kept cutting out after a few mins. I actually had the opposite of this problem, my float was set up in such a way that it was turning the fuel off prematurely and cutting the quad out. Stressed me for months and I’d kinda given up. I bent that float a little and it’s running like a dream so yeah thanks for the tip you really helped me.

These videos are great, I recently salvaged a perfectly good lt50 from a skip. Got it running and overnight emptied a full tank of petrol onto my garage floor 😆 know I know why! Looking forward to more videos in this series!

Hey mate can you point me in the right direction I purchased one yesterday off a fella all round very good condition except he said when storing it leave the fuel on, he said don’t turn it off cause when it gets turned off it leaked 🤯when it’s in the on position it’ll hold the fuel ok? Any idea

Awesome videos!! I just picked up an 86 lt50 that is missing the cylinder vacuum stem and plugged with a set-screw. Having a tough time getting it started without it in place. Searching I cannot find a replacement to re-add the stem back. Any tips where to search? Also, will you touch on the wiring harness and magneto? Thanks and looking forward to your upcoming videos on the complete tear down and re-build!!

I'm not sure if I'm honest i would like to think you could replace it even if you had to drill it out and just fit a standard fitting i will have to look into it. Sorry it took so long to reply.

What is the port on top that doesn’t connect to a hose? It’s to the right of the fuel line

It's just a vent there shuld be a pipe that comes off it and just hangs down behind the engine.

Hey Marty, I have a 08 suzuki DZ50, I cleaned the carb and replaced the spark plug. Im having trouble getting full RPM. It feels like the rev limiter is going off. Is there a way to adjust it?

my jr50 I had this problem. Bent the tab and fixed the problem. However when I lean it over to the right (the side the carbs on) the engine cuts out. What's causing this??

Have you tried bending it back slightly? The fuel level might be too low in the bowel know causing it to suck up air when you lean it over.i hope this helps.

@@Martysworkshop yea i just did the float broke off the metal tab. Darn it. Super glue to the rescue. Just ordered a new float. It also blows alot of smoke and has oil coming out the exhaust. Does this mean the rh crank seal is gone???

Yes i would say so how much oil do you mix with the fuel? Or does it run off the tank?

Just checking you would be surprised how many people pre mix and put way too much oil in, yes i would agree with you and go for that seal, thank you for watching.

Just a leak from this I'm afraid, i would check your jets or mixture settings i have done a 2 part video on carb clean and setup if you want more info. Thank you for watching
