BBZ- 8:50- I would think K-9 is much better because it blocks K-Q. Then again, we don't get to see any action pre-flop so I'm strategizing on limited information-

On A6q3 ccsh.. he isn't using this sizing with a queen I don't think.. and pairs under Q neither... so if those assumptions are right 6x no club gotta be in there?

It seems to me that equity realization is not considered when calling of a turn bet. Like calling with 55% of the range because of MDF? How much of those 55% are we going to realize OTR? What is he going to do with his missed draws? How many bluffs does he really have with a pot size bet against what solver suggests? Is he going to check missed draws back OTR? And then what are we going to do if river is a brick and he shoves on us and we have 64o? Are we supposed to call? Those calls seems good for solver perspective but I really think we should consider our opponents tendencies, how much is he capable of bluffing OTT and OTR etc... After all we are playing against human and not robots(most of the time). For a thin call like that if V has 10% less bluffs OTT that he is supposed to we are way behind, and of he is playing like a solver does we are probably winning 1 blind. When we put all possible opponent variations it does not seem like a profitable call. Unless we know what our opponent is capable of, but this is not mentioned. Calling of solely of MDF OOP without considering opponent tendencies and equity realization just doesn't seem like a good poker to me.

The last hand is very interesting because it is so close. I would love to have some kind of read on my opponent as to weather or not he triple barrels with complete air. The way I see it, if your opponent doesn´t have complete air then you´re not beating anything, right? So like how many people triple barrel bluffs stone air into BB´s range which contains all the nutted hands? I feel like it´s more fold than call if you don´t have strong suspicions. But then again I´m not a pro FYI. Love the vids!

I believe this studying is based on a GTO approach with zero villain reads. If villain strays at all away from optimal play, we need to make the adjustment.

are these prescriptions only for tourneys? or is this the recommendation for cash games as well

Often same principles apply, but when stacks are deeper preflop ranges may change a bit. And it's very different for opponent to bet-bet-get it in with 40 bbs than with 100 bbs.

Yeah the math in the game stays the same but the ranges change pretty dramatically from cash to MTT's.

1st hand. Two overs, possible trip combos, flush draw? I'd just fold. Save my stack and wait for a better spot. Or do you go with your gut, your reads and gamble? In the moment, you gotta go with what information you have at the time. Trust your instincts is my way. The studying is just honing the spots I play and when to fold.

At about 4:30 BBZ says we have to defend 45% of all hands. I am assuming that’s the MDF for that size but that doesn’t mean we have to defend that often. Especially in a spot that our opponent has all this value that we simply don’t have. I would be shocked if a silver didn’t over fold to the turn barrel relative to MDF

Thoughts on a check raise on the river at 22:00 ?
@BBZPoker
@BBZPoker 9 ай бұрын
The main issue is the SPR is pretty low and we might not have enough fold equity against the value betting region (overpairs). We also don't need to bluff very often with the odds the opponent will get on a call. But it's not a dumb idea. A6 might be better if I'm convinced hero calls come from AA and bluffs don't come from A high....

@BBZPoker thanks for the response. I was just thinking about how I would personally respond to a check raise with overpairs and I think I'd find a lot of folds unless I was in the golden zone in amount of beers.
