I am dealing with this now and I'm 66 years old. I had no discharge. The symptoms of this yeast infection also spread to both thighs and above. And the itching? OMG, it was beyond belief. And I did not want to go to the doctor so I tried to "cure" it myself. I tried everything to relieve the awful itching. I lasted a month and a half and then HAD to go to the doctor. Now, I've taken the Diflucan pill and have been using the Nystatin ointment for 6 days, and I am only now getting any relief. This is the first yeast/fungal/Candidosis attack in my life.

I recently got my first yeast infection. I'm 15 years old. Actually, I have it for 4- 5 days but I didn't know that it was a infection. I thought it was just some kind of a regular period pain, but I was completely wrong. Today I went to school and it was pretty hurting so when I came back, I researched about it and knew what it was. I don't know how to explain it to my mom (yeah, I only live with my mom) but I'm going to to it somehow. When I knew what it was, I started crying, feeling stressed and didn't want to walk. You don’t know how much you’ve helped me.. I jsut wish talking about stuff like this was more normalized. I hate the embarrassing feeling. This isn’t embarrassing. So we need parents to be able to talk to their daughters about these things.. I didn’t have anyone to help me when I was experiencing some of these things in the video. It only made me grow up to feel embarrassed and to scared to ask.

This has been an issue for me since I was a kid. The doctor told me to always avoid non cotton panties, scented soap and making sure the water source I'm washing is as clean as possible. Stress has always do a number on it too. Is sooo good seeing docs talk about this... Btw love the little face animation in the corner lol is so adorable

Same!!! I had an ongoing one since I was about 13. I didn’t “cure” my problem until just this year at 28. And it was after trying literally EVERYTHING and then finally being really consistent with a women’s probiotic. I’m scared to ever discontinue the probiotic and see the infection return. So I’m sticking with them! Feels so good to finally have normal discharge!!!!! Ahh! Haha

Thank you for explaining the differences between yeast infection and STD infection, most of the times OBGNY so quick to identify a bad yeast infection for a STD infection. We need more OBGYN like you. Beautiful program to educate women like us, black women who are afraid to talk about things like that to our husbands and family specially the young adults. This was so helpful. I am diabetic and at the start of menopause. I also have had a hysterectomy. I was getting a yeast infection almost every month instead of a period. It was horrible! Then body body just stopped. But I thought something was wrong with me. I even spread it to my husband. ( That was crazy). But thank you for explaining this so well.

I am not ashamed maybe if I was in my 20's. I have not got my period yet been under alot of stress due to getting hurt at work, a box fell on my left foot. I tried everything that I thought could work for me but nothing did . Thought I was alone but I’m just realizing that there’s couple ladies out here who has the same problem.

Started having symptoms during my 4th month of pregnancy and it's the most uncomfortable things ever and my vulva would burn especially at night. Also, the discharge smells different than a normal vaginal smell yet mild.

I got the vaginal thrush and it was so itchy 😢i couldn't even sleep....I'm 20 and I thought I had an STI......I was so afraid and so ashamed to talk about it 😩.... thank you for this video 🙏
