You'd be surprised at how much more efficient your heater would be if you cleaned that built up dust from it.

@@Aaronlovesmusic970oh my god mine were absolutely nasty caked on dirt and dust looked like it never been cleaned since installed. Plus the heat exchangers were all bent up and full of dusty bunnies. I spent a good 2 hours cleaning the one room. Not good for heating and not good for my health.

Sometimes its not the fines that make the noise it’s the actual pipes. I found wrapping the pipes that don’t have a heat exchanger on them with insulation foam. It dampens the noise. Most the banging sounds is the water moving through the pipes.

My electric ones do it too. What could cause that?

Thanks! I have a really small bedroom and the popping noise was driving me insane and kept waking me up, it seemed so loud in this small room. I had to use my fingers for some of it but they're all straightened out now and it's as quiet as a mouse. Thanks so much once again!❤🙋‍♀️

So I have about 16 feet of baseboard heating in my living room, Pex , it’s constantly popping and snapping. Last year we even changed out the entire boiler with fresh water. There’s no bleeders on these heaters either. What could be the issue

the ones in my apartment are filthy and bent so bad.. I'm scared to even use the heat. I vacuumed as much dust as I could but there was everything from paper to food to kids toys stuck in there.

I have the same baseboard heating as you. I'm hearing ticks (most likely expansion) . But the main problem is a loud banging at 3:00 am plus I hear water whooshing through the pipes any idea what is causing that ?

You are not the only one. I like the noises for a practical reason which is to know the system is still working after a repair

I like the little noise it makes. It indicates the heater is working.

My circulating pump makes a small hum that I can hear through the pipes and sometimes I hear the water moving through the pipes and I’ve gotten use to it. My system is old but works very well still it’s got a new pump and that was majority of the noise now I just hear a small hum.
