How to strip an injection pump. This week special guest Theo from Practical Classics (car magazine) teams up with Gav and Jimmy to show them how it's done, but what will he find?
This project follows a Barn Find 1953 Ferguson TEF 20 Little Grey Fergie. This vintage tractor was found in a hedge where it had sat for 31 years. Can Jimmy de Ville (from Goblin Works Garage) and Gav (former RAF engineer) bring it back to life using their engineering, building, fabrication and make do and mend skills?
There might be extreme, dangerous and crazy measures needed to breath life back into this retro, vintage vehicle and once farming extreme machine.

Wow what an episode. Good to see Theo in on the build. I find it amazing how complex that pump was, being designed and built in the 50's. Can wait for the next one!!

Would it have been a bad idea to soak it in paraffin or diesel for a week or two? Just wondering in case I need to rebuild my 35x!

Jimmy de Ville's Garage my 15 year old has a TEF20 in garage we are restoring/refurbishing. Thankfully. Injectors ok . We need more content and cake. Inspiration to a younger crew keep it coming.

Got love the inside of a mechanical pump. Another great upload mate I really enjoyed it mate. There's some sort of pleasure watching a man in a shop making a pump work. Thanks mate 👍👍 We also managed to locate a starter for the p3 so hopefully it will be running again soon. It's still Gavs turn to provide Cake be sure and remind him.👍

I have P3 Diesel conversion (1947) I changed the diesel pump but can’t get it started. It turns over but the timing seems out to not allow it to fire up. I remember diesel pump place in Sheffield said something about a viewing cover and adjusting. Anyone have any ideas? Found it in another episode “Will it run after 31 years...” 😃

Hi JImmy, did you manage to sort some rear wheels for the fergy, if you haven't the farm machinery guy i do work for (google dave/david Rushton Machinery, Uttoxeter) said he has some that should fit, not original Fergusson but if theres nothing else also are the wheels you've got one or two piece (rim with seperate centre plate) if it's two piece can you have just "new" rims instead of whole wheels?

Its in better condition than yours lol. it was running 4 years ago. One or two of the elemnts has stuck with standing. apparently they dont like modern diesel. I had another one on the shelf so i used it. You can have it for the cost of the postage. love the project!
