Vergil is more of a "look at my mastery with swords and stuff" type character, while Dante is more "IM GONNA THROW RANDOM BULLSHIT AT YOU UNTILL YOU DIE" type character. Still love playing both of them

@@sepulcher8263 originally i just played with regular controls, but these days when i play Vergil i put Shoot on the left trigger and change devil arm on square Vergil doesn't change weapons nearly as much as Dante despite the fact that each of his weapons has less moves than Dante's. so having the change devil arm button on a more awkward position doesn't bother me that much

Combos don't really matter unless you wanna do mad damage, i never got the hang of combos that well, but it's mostly switching weapons furring air rave or in the middle of your ground combo, this was a very early video I didn't put as much effort into it as I could of had cause I had only like 300 subs at the time and barely any views

You probably already figured at least some of this stuff out, but I’ll leave this here just in case you or anyone else has trouble with those enemies. Arachnes are very annoying and hard to predict, usually their screams signal their next attack but it’s kinda hard to pay attention to that in the middle of the battle. Use Agni and Rudra since Arachnes are weak to fire, slash them around for a bit, jump back, repeat. Usually when they parry an attack your best bet will be to dodge or jump, but iirc if you’re quick enough you can switch to Rebellion and use Stinger to cancel their attack (probably won’t work in DMD though). If they trap you with webbing, you can just Devil Trigger to escape, otherwise quickly move the left stick. With Vergil, Spiral Swords, Aerial Rave and Lunar Phase should be enough. As for the Fallens, with Dante use Swordmaster to attack them with Aerial Rave in order to break their shield, then stand near them and use the shotgun as it makes them recoil after some shots (again, probably won’t work on DMD). Their spinning lance attack won’t hit you if you’re near them, and the recoil from the shotgun should reset their pattern so they don’t do the exploding lance attack. Also, if you’re in Freestyle mode, you can switch to Gunslinger and use charged shotgun shots. With Vergil just spam Aerial Rave, it’s much quicker than Dante’s version and deals more damage so it usually makes short work of the Fallens. Hope this helps anyone.

No absolutely not, but it's my configuration that I found made playing gunslinger comfortable to play, you can play gunslinger on default controls if you feel cfortable with that :)

The spiders spawn those pesky spiderlings after death and the Webs sometimes don't follow a proper arch trajectory but the spiders are at least manageable. The Fallen, I just don't understand until now how they work. Their attacks miss in the closest proximity but attacking them even after breaking their wings feels like it's not doing damage. And I hate how they get to be with a hell vanguard in Bloody palace. They both feel forever to kill. They also block the screen.

@@Rafikator i’m saying that you can style better on DMD basically but I completely understand why some people like very hard more. I personally grinded the heck out of VH till I could get good at DMD with both characters. Surprisingly enough you can play Vergil the same exact way he plays in UMVC3 which is his main gimmick in that game.
