Great videos. Keep it up. I have quick question for you. How much amount or percentage will be return for buying any device for office work. Such laptop, phone, led. And do we also need to attach any kind of proof from employer except receipt. Thankyou
@ahsanfinance
@ahsanfinance 5 ай бұрын
Glad you liked the video. Filing your taxes informs the Government that you have additional burden that needs to be considered so that your income tax is reduced. That is why there isn't an exact percentage for items. You can get a detailed answer in here (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q8ela9hksqjVgmw.html). As far as proof goes, you would need receipts for sure. In some cases you might even require a document from your employer that the items were indeed used for work purposes.

Public health contributions are only deductable when you have an extraordinary health burden. The deductions depend on many things (i.e. every case is different). Private pension contributions are also deductible

thank you for the video ahsan. My question is regarding the private health insurance fees that i used to pay in my language years plus now my normal tk health insurance, am i able to add them or not as insurance costs?
@ahsanfinance
@ahsanfinance 5 ай бұрын
Yes you can add both the expenses in your tax return. For public health insurance almost all of you expenses are automatically considered in normal cases from your employer. So you shouldn't expect any return in that case. If however, you had extraordinary expenses then you should get a good return. For private health insurance you can expect a bit higher tax return.

I love your videos keep going 👍🏼 I am a working student in Siemens and bought 360€ of the company shares.Do you think I will be indebted if I submit tax return. And also I’ve heard when a person submits a tax return once, needs to do every year afterwards. Is that true?

I didn't quite understand the first question . For the second question, no simply submitting a tax return once does not make you obliged to submit it each year. Other conditions may make you obliged though. I have an upcoming video where I discuss this in detail.

Thanks for making this video, I have two questions though, can you shed some light on them? 1. How do I include the loss carry forward of the previous year while submitting the tax return for this year? 2. Suppose, I am filing taxes for the year 2020, at that time I used to live in a different city where the tax office was also different from my current one, which tax office should I use then when submitting this tax return now in 2024? As for the address, do you think I should use the last address where I lived that year?

Glad you liked the video. 1. There is an option in wundertax where you can add the amount of loss carry forward (mentioned in the video) 2. You must use the current information for your tax office. Hey Ashan. Very informative video. I have some queries regarding tax return file. 1. I shifted in Germany and stared working from 1st of October and before that I worked in India in two different institution in 2023 (5 days in January in one institute and then around 6 months in other institute). There is an option to add foreign income, however, there is only one option to enter. How can I enter two institute details ? How will I convert INR income to Euro ? Should I consider the present conversion rate? 2. I have some capital gain from stocks and mutual fund from Indian market and also Dividend. Can you please tell me which option is correct to put this values in Wundertax?
@ahsanfinance
@ahsanfinance 5 ай бұрын
Hello there, In the tax return for 2023 you only have to mention things from after 1st October. All previous expenses would have to be handled in Indian tax return ( I am not aware of the rules in India so I cannot comment on that). But for Germany you would not have to add any details for the previous employements before entering Germany. For capital gains: In the income section, select "I have other sources of income" then select "I have received income from capital contributions (Kapitalerträge)" and fill out the details there. Remember to only include gains that you received after entering Germany.

There are 2 types of claims for home office. One is the homeoffice flat rate which you can definitely claim without an issue. The second one is the rooms expenses. For that you home office has to be in a separate room and not a section in one of the rooms. If you have a studio apartment or live in a WG then it will not be considered. However if you have a seperate room then you can claim all the expenses related to that room. Please note that the finanzamt can send a party to check the room so please be careful.

Hello, I have read your article about how long time to return the tax, but I still worries about something (maybe bcs I don’t really understand). So, I’ve started my job on half October and finished on December, then go back to my country and now I decided to trying self-submission at Elster for return the tax. I read your article which is show the last time for input tax data is last February, but I also read that it is possible until 31 July in the next year. So, is it possible if I want to submit my document on March/April? I’m sorry for my bad English, I hope you can read and help my confusion. Thank you very much.

If you want to submit a tax return for 2023 you have time till 2nd October 2024. Submission means you send the files to the Tax office, how long it takes for the tax office to respond has nothing to do with the deadline. Please do let me know ff I misunderstood your question.

Hi Ahsan, During last year, I have changed my job 3 times, how to do tax return with 3 lohnsteuerbescheinigung? Also if I have investment losses with some brokers that is in UK, how to procced with this situation? will I be able to receive tax return based on the losses I had for my investment? For my case, should I consult with a tax consultant or I should be able to do it with wundertax by myself?
@ahsanfinance
@ahsanfinance 5 ай бұрын
06:12 , you can add multiple lohnsteuerbescheinigung. For the UK based broker, unfortunately I do not know how their system works so I cannot comment on that. For your case I would look into how the tax document for your UK broker works. If you find some good documentation (for taxes using the broker) then you can do it yourself with wundertax, otherwise I would recommend using a consultant.

@ahsan please help me out. It is urgent. I applied for tax return. I claimed some of the things because of relocation to a new house, but now I don't have slips for that. I have received a letter from Finanzamt for a proof of list of things I have claimed. Out of 7, I have proof of 4. What will happen, if I fail to provide a proof? Are there any penalties for that? @@ahsanfinance one more doubt regarding WFH topic. In "Transportation To and From Work" section, I entered my house and office address, number of holidays and number of work from home days. I also entered Work-Room costs since I have a office at my home. Now your software will calculate my returns without considering "Corona Home Office Lump Sum" allowance?

Its not MY software :) , anyhow, it will consider both expenses: Work Room costs as well as Home office Lump Sum
@rajsekhar31184
@rajsekhar31184 4 ай бұрын
@@ahsanfinance are you sure it will consider both expenses? This is the text I can see under HomeOffice section. These days reduce the amount of work commutes for the time period specified above. The Corona Home Office Lump Sum is then automatically calculated for your income-related expenses (Werbungskosten) starting from the 2020 tax year onwards (assuming no office in your home has been claimed).
@ahsanfinance
@ahsanfinance 4 ай бұрын
Home office flatrate could cover the running expenses, and the Work room would cover the tools bought for that. At the end of the day it depends on your case officer. Hence its best to list all expenses and see which are accepted and which are not.
