What you are saying is absolutely right. To achieve complete surrender, mind needs to go beyond the mental images - so when you pray to jesus, try to imagine him as a feeling/energy within you. This would help you surrender or dissolve completely. Good Luck

Whatever has been mentioned in the video, is the only way to surrender. There is no separate way for kids, students, adults, senior people, etc. You can start with doing Nishkama Karma - acting and doing your karma selflessly without expectations of any reward. Keep doing sadhana like japa, dhyana, atma-vichara side by side with devotion. Do your best and leave the rest to God. You can do karma but the result of that should be left to God. Soon you will become fit to do whatever has been mentioned in this video and surrender.

Well, that's a very reductionist and narrowed down way of looking at spirituality and life as a whole. That's not really the only reason to turn spiritual. You make it sound like spiritual people are the ones who have always lost, are good for nothing, lacking, undergoing suffering and are miserable in life, but that's far from truth. Anyone can turn spiritual when one starts to enquire into the meaning and purpose of this life. Ofcourse depression, heartbreaks, shortcomings or sense of lacking can be significant triggers but that's not all. Even when one naturally flowers and grows in life, one starts to seek things and truth beyond the physical world. Some may just experience certain supernatural or paranormal things or something which cannot be explained usually, out of nowhere all of a sudden and that may turn them spiritual. Some may realize the worthlessness of temporary joys and think it's not worth being a slave of sense pleasures or be bound by other things and thus turn spiritual. Many rich and established people turn spiritual eventually in life when they realize all the fame and money isn't really worth it. There can be "n" number of different reasons or triggers. I have never faced any suffering, lacking or shortcomings in terms of anything in life yet have always have a deeply spiritual bent of mind since childhood. So don't make it sound like only deprived, lacking and those having shortcomings resort to spirituality. It's much more bigger and deeper than that. There's always an inner sense of seeking and yearing within everyone, which is a calling to evolve, grow and flower as a life, realize the truth about your very existence and attain perfection and undecaying bliss. People try to suppress it - often out of ignorance - by getting engaged in worldly stuff and material pleasures but the truth is nothing will provide that lasting joy and real happiness that we desire deep down. The world can only offer transitory moments of joy but we truly desire lasting and endless bliss (which is nowhere but within us, in our spirit). One will sooner or later realize that no matter what this world has to offer (be it great sex, or super healthy attachments, or super nice people etc.), it will always fall short at the end of the day, expectations will stop getting met and dissatisfaction/dissappointment will later kick in. Eventually, sooner or later, through one way or the other, that inner yearing/seeking/calling will always find a way out and drive the individual to that stage of realization and ultimate spiritual fulfilment. 🙏🏻😇
