Man, war is scary as hell. Looking at the footages in this video doesn't give me the "wow they look so cool" vibes, it gives me the "I wish to never be reenacting this at any point" one. I'd hate to always be anticipating danger everywhere I go.

Luckily we won't have to! Lets assume a huge war started, do you really think countries will be sending out men? LMAO, NOPE! It's just gonna be raining bombs. That is if a HUGE HUGE world wide war started, of course... And uh... As long as you live in a third world country or a pretty well off country, avoiding being drafted ain't that hard.

“I’m up, he sees me, I’m down!” It’s the most simplistic tactic that I took to heart when I was in Iraq. Situational awareness of near cover helped too. And of course, luck. The fact that I made it through two combat deployments as a Marine in both the Invasion and Anbar, is a miracle! Too many close calls.

To your grandparents, thanks for the terrible shit everyone went through for it to be still all be completely fucked up damnit. Love you fellow Western worlders, once you came from Europe doing exactly the same shit some Russians are still doing. And I'm afraid we all did the same in Afghanistan (where some Russians were first) No one wanted war because when it's going to crack, too many are not coming back and "PTSD," dead or not, that shit haunts you for life and it changes you, me, us in ways no one wanted to. Glad to help. I grew up during the cold war and heard how close we were to a conventional conflict. Subs coming back with Russian torpedoes sticking out the side, shooting incidents in Korea and Yugoslavia on our troops. I realized that if I was drafted then I would be screwed since my ignorance would get me killed very quickly. I joined the "explorers" as part of the Boy Scout to get some training since the "explorers" were the US version of the Hitler youth. I started taking note of what I needed to know for over 30 years and it is pretty much all here. Now we are back again in the same hole where we started. Biggest pointers: don't volunteer to do anything and just do your job. Also, be like a ground hog and dig in as fast as you can because you don't want to be in the open during an artillery or air strike. @@fR33Sky

My great grandad in ww1 was a mechanic behind lines (which almost certainly saved his life as he was one of a few people who could still make wooden wheels on the move) he had an explosion go off a meter or two in front of him in Belgium, what saved him was that the shrapnel flew up and over his head and unfortunately killed the man behind him. But just so lucky that he was in this dead zone between shockwave and shrapnel and he wasn't ever scratched.

Out of all man made horrors of war i think mines are the worse ! Like you said ,drones need batterys and to reload ammunition,tanks and bmps are big targets that you can hear and spot,jets and planes /helicopters as well. But mines can wait patiently in the ground almost forever,you can step on it and its not even from this war ! They come in all shapes and sizes ,some of them will blow your foot only,some of them will blow a guy in half ,worst ones are bouncing betty types that jump from the ground and kill everything in a 30m radius or the claymore type that makes swiss cheese out of men . Worst thing is they keep killing even after the war is done .

Remember FPS Russia? He did a video WAY before drones were mainstream. That one had a gun, and a KAMIKAZE feature. (You could fly it in position and blow it up with a massive payload) Granted that drone only fired on target dummies, but it still worked fine with a gun. Kinda surprising more drones don't use guns today. Probably because it's not too useful in active combat with how it handles.
@brandallblack5833
@brandallblack5833 4 ай бұрын
Many drones can use small firearms like pistols but the main idea is to get automatic weapons attached. The tricky party about staging automatic weapons on a drone is the amount of ammo and it can hold and the recoil it produces. Many drones just don't have a powerful motor to handle the vast recoil to handle automatic weapons recoil.

@@brandallblack5833 What if a weapon with a no recoil system like the Vector was set up?
@brandallblack5833
@brandallblack5833 4 ай бұрын
@3f228 Just because it was designed to have less recoil it still has some good recoil. With that they may be you still have to worry about accuracy due to its high cycle rate especially if you plan on being 200 feet the air as it was designed on close range combat.If you want to use an SMG or PDW I would start with the p90 as its chambered in 5.7×28 but yet again high fire can be an issue. The 5.7×28 is a little underpowered in my opinion but it would be a start due its accuracy and its a better choice then 9mm or 45mm. Now that's the start the finish would be for now is fitting something in 5.56 Nato.

I remember something about my old military training. If you find yourself and your squad in an AP minefield, you can take about 200 steps back on your own tracks, then 500 steps left or right then you have a good possibility to avoid that whole minefield if the situation allows you to do so. Another one is if you don't know what to do on the battlefield then "Attack", if you don't know how "Flank", if you don't know where then "Flank left". Those are just some rules that give you some tools because you always have to have some kind of basic plan for every situation. After all, freezing and not knowing what to do is the worst option.

"Take the path of greatest resistance." These are USMC words to live by for sure, when traveled paths are likely to be booby-trapped. Never thought about a Faraday bag, or about the concept of "micro-cover" when caught prone and under fire in open spaces where there is no apparent cover. As a veteran of many Chuck Norris and Sly Stallone action movies who has never once fired a shot in either offence or defense, these conventional wisdoms of war being shared in this video clip are absolute gold to my inexperienced ears. I thank you sir for detailing these amazing and often counter-intuitive insights into what it takes to face enemy fire and live to describe the experience.

Cover stops projectiles. Concealment ( thin walls, bushes, skinny trees,) hides you but does not stop projectiles. Cover can be a shallow ditch barely deep enough to protect some of your body, but may be deep enough to allow you to get out alive.

German soldiers after WWII were asked what they thought of engaging U.S. troops. The most common thing they said what that US Troops simply when halted crouched down. They did not Go PRONE... a very difficult target to hit. So, the Allies were easy to hit because they crouch halt and were easy to hit. I was glad you mentioned SPACING.. the biggest mistake I keep seeing in Ukraine theatre of war. Vehicle and Troop dispersion..... artillery, mortar, GPMG beaded zone, grenades, claymore style mines, AP mines, ETC all reduce the KIA/WIA quantities. When I served, Veterans would be in attendance and continually the same phrases were used, that stressed that mastery of Fire (accurate fire) and movement. HOW TO SHOOT AND MOVE.. so individual and collective training Drills Drills Drills. SO many details that you covered... EACH thing you mentioned could be a video. You basically rattled of the basic infantrymen aid de memoire lol. Flesh out all these topics. Good Stuff. 41C

Not only going prone but if the rounds are landing really close and the situation allows it then it may be a good idea to cover your neck / side of the head with your arms as well. It is better to fuck up your hands than having a small piece of shrapnel hit your cervical spine or one of the arteries. Just throwing that out there because I know it has saved some people. Larger pieces of shrapnel will rip straight through but you don't need a large piece of shrapnel to hit your neck / head area to cause potentially fatal injuries.

There is no thing such as individual battle, it has always been a team effort. Now the team effort is on a bigger, abstract scale, detached from the individual fighter. Also in medieval survivability would alot depend on your societal class, since the enemy would prefer to take you hostage if you are noble. Additionally, being rich means having armor and improving survivability. And getting an open wound in a battle without systemic antiobiotics was a horrible predicament.

I started building and flying fpv quadcopters back in 2018. I haven't flown in a while now, but I can tell you from experience that one of the biggest pains in the ass is what we call "Scraggle". Those are the little branches on trees that are extremely hard to see when you're in the goggles. I've seen and heard about so many quads being taken out by it that there's gotta be a way to utilize it if shtf. Also, things like black volleyball nets strung would suck to deal with as well. Camo them up a little and use the trees, and you can create quite a good little No-Fly zone

You missed IR radiation avoidance for bases. So always make sure if you go underground you don't create an IR signature with your entries or exits. So make them behind some vegetation or cover your door/hatch with mud/leaves etc. If it's cold, and you need some kind of furnace, make sure the hot air gets routed away from your underground shelter, best between some trees, so the direct observation of the exhaust gets blocked and they only get a fuzzy image of hot air rising somewhere between the trees. Make sure you got some kind of blanket which is protecting your IR signature AND is camouflaged. So if there's a helicopter/gunship/drone/tank/ATV around, and you hide, use the blanket in the direction of the enemy to avoid popping up on their IR sights so easily. Another thing missing are mirrors. They can be a life safer combined with a stick, as you can look around corners and into windows above or below your normal line of sight and scan an area behind a cover without exposing yourself. You can even aim with them if your gun is semi-mounted - which can be helpful, especially if you wanna lay down single shots without exposing yourself (e.g. because of an IR vision on the enemy side).
@myotheraccount17

Its good to know these kind of things and I know everyone's efforts is accounted for. However I'm a Civilian and want to be prepared for this scenario. I worried about impending war. I live in Canada so there is very little selection of guns to buy from without getting a sort of higher grade license. With the way the world is going I'm hoping no one on the front will be tarnished for nothing. In my own opinion I'm scared of the threat of war and tensions rising. I would like to join the military but having second thoughts with family and more. I hope you do your best and give everyone your best while out there.

The cross training is a very smart point.
@mephisto8101
@mephisto8101 4 ай бұрын
After my time in the Bundeswehr, where cross training on all the weapons in the squad is the standard, I was surprised to learn that it was not the standard in US military. That was over 20 years ago, so things might have changed a bit. Our company had standard assault rifle, MGs, handgrenades, Pistols, SMGs and AT Launchers. Everybody was trained on all the weapon systems on a basic level and we had tests on every platform. In practice, there were some exceptions when someone was hindered to participate on every training session, but that was the idea. Friends in the PanzerGrenadier / Armored Infantry had more weapons available, like grenade launchers and more, so each member had more training. The idea was, that everyone cn become a casualty and in combat there might be the need to take over other roles as well. And as basically anyone can find themselves in situation where they would need to lead some people, you need to understand the capabilites and limits of each system.

You forgot to talk about cover -not everything is a bulletproof like in movies-cars for example are only good around engine block,bullets go trough car doors made of thin sheet metal like nothing .A wall made of cinder block is poor cover for rifle rounds for example -old houses made of stone in some regions are mini fortresses with 30 cm thick walls that can be taken only by mortar or rpg/grenade round. oil barrel is a poor cover -oil barrel filled with sand stops the bullets. Unless they are extra fat ,30cm at least trees make poor bulletproof cover. There is visual cover and bulletproof cover,knowing building materials in region can save you life.

One I have always instinctually used but saw mentioned somewhere is that EVERY encounter you should try to make it an ambush. Planned or unplanned. Don't just shoot the instant you see something. Unless of course you're being shot at or have been spotted. If possible, observe first and try to create ideal conditions before shots start getting traded. You might catch one guy by surprise and be facing eleven more a half a second later because you didn't take the time to look. Bonus: Nobody on the battlefield is EVER alone. It's never just one guy so plan accordingly when you see the first guy. He isn't alone.

Ukraine isn't real. It was invented in 1917 to justify long-term German occupation of Russian territory for their Mitteleuropa scheme. In protest of reintegration with the Russian-led Soviet Union, the capitalist Kulak whores burned their own wheat and called it "genocide". After this utter failure of an attempt to gain pity points, they collaborated with the Nazis and committed a real genocide against civilians in Poland. The transfer of Crimea to Ukraine was carried out in violation of the constitution of the Soviet Union as a symbolic act of commemorating the 300th anniversary of Ukraine's integration into Russia. Ukraine had a better economy in 1991 under the Soviet Union than it does today under western domination in 2020. Today, over one-third of "Ukrainians" natively speak Russian. Furthermore, "Ukrainian" is literally just a dialect of Russian to begin with. In conclusion: Ukraine was invented by Germans Faked a genocide Committed a real genocide in Poland Doesn't own Crimea Doesn't have a real language Doesn't legitimately exist

basically: 1. buy light armor. you dont need heavy if ur under rank 60 cause youll be too slow (you can do it by pressing b at the start of the round) 2. crouch to reduce your hitbox by pressing ctrl or c depends on your binds 3. use the terrain 4. shoot at the enemies so their fov goes down 5. keep apart so the op artillery shells dont kill you all 6. glitch under the map 7. listen for sound queues 8. if there's a sweaty drone class player try to not be detected near reference points (if youre near a road they could easily mark you on the map) 9. cover your hiding place with something so bombs dont get thrown in (if ur rng is bad then you can even use blankets) 10. invest into the hacker skill tree to get access to the jammer backpacks or have a teammate set up a large jammer in an area (still in early access so might be buggy) 11. team up with a drone guard class player that has a shotgun in his loadout to take down drones 12. invite a drone operator to your party to know their current metas 13. stay in a single file and keep distance from each other to find mines 14. take the hardest route to get to the other team if your stealth stats are low 15. planes mostly only drop bombs and helis can use guided missiles, guns, and rockets (devs pls nerf) 16. if aircraft know where your spawnpoint is then you should stay away from it since they're going to try and spawncamp 17. put on a camo skin on your vehicle and yourself (ik the battlepass skins look good but doja cat has too flashy colors) 18. you might think that being on top of a building will help you with highground but if theres an airstrike it will hit the top of the building 19. don't leave low tier loot you dont need anymore since the enemies can trace you with it 20. learn how to use the bigger guns like the javelin (theres tutorials on youtube and theyre only like 5 mins long) 21. check under your minimap. it shows whether an enemy has spotted you, has you in their scope or just doesnt see you 22. dont let the enemy players know that your teammates are low rank. tell them to turn on anonymous mode or just hide their rank in the settings 23. send out a squad of 4 or 5 players into an area before you attack it so you get intel on the enemies like what class they're using, their rank etc. 24. do the tutorial and try out different weapons in the shooting range map. you could even do 1v1s with a friend to train better 25. get a higher rank leader for your party since he knows all the metas and locations 26. faraday bags are good loot so dokkaebi players dont track you with your phone 27. get medkits, shield pots, med mists and all of those healing items cause they can save your entire game if used properly 28. metas will always change so you have to have a high intelligence stat to figure stuff out (you can do it by grinding reading books)

@@intrudergotdrip1341 I can imagine men in WW2/WW1 had a similar experience though, like, them hearing a minute of instructions and then you go into the battlefield without understanding shit.
