I love multiplayer with a friend, makes the game less bleak and deaths more funny than tragic

It’s all fun and games till you’re on a loot run in Louisville and run out of gas and everyone dies with their best gear and you’re out five sets of guns and ammo

Another tip I have for coop is to read some books when your friend is driving. This is great time saving and I always make sure to let my friend drive

One more thing, don't forget to make some sort of long time plan where you would like to see yourself in the long run with friends as otherwise you will be hit with boredom and you will start to lose active players until there's noone left to play with.

I hope this video gets out there, this is a great game for both singleplayer and multiplayer, and it'd be a shame if someone's first experience online is ruined by bad etiquette, either from themselves or others, great video and great tips!

yes i agree the amount of times ive gotten up to 15 spawns in a row with no containers is bad it really screws people over

Turn the read book speed up or take Fast Reader.... or both. Sure, it may not help you survive in the game much, but it will prevent you from die of boredom in real life.

I recently got 2 friends to buy zomboid. I have 500+ hours in and I kinda know what I am doing. I still make mistakes but I can handle myself. Usually on single player I picked fire officer and made it a jack of all trades build with loads of everything stats. On the co-op I created with friends I tweaked a lot of settings. First I added +10 bonus trait points, I made cars rarity normal and turned ammo spawns up 1 tier. I also set zombie pop on 0.7 and peak on 1.3 I also did zombie respawn to half a year. Anyways because I already knew what I was doing I thought why not change my playstyle and I thought I whould be the mechanic. I choose mechanic and some perks I usually never pick. Also I gave my friends tips on what to choose but I also let them figure it out. I gave some tips (because I didnt wanted them to pick nurse or something and then deaf and astmathic or something) one of my friends choose hiker as a perk and I said why not pick park ranger. And be that person. My other friend picked lumberjack. We all 3 had our own role. My lumberjack friend went full axe mode. While I taught my other friend about foraging and surviving and carpentry etc etc etc. they are both getting there and they have died a few times but its fun. Multiplayer is very different, you have no sleep (at least I turned it off) you have so much time its insane. Also we play in the same room irl (we meet up and have sleep overs and game all night) so when its night ingame and we where safe I just read a skill book and in those 10 minutes irl I just walked over and gave them tips. Its very refreshing playing with friends. Also kinda difficult because the lumberjack friend plays very agressive and my park ranger friend very passive. Its funny but they both get the hang of it. We have done a few sessions and we are at like day 16 and the power is about to go off so its going to be all new for them. Also with 3 people you need much more food and resources. Luckly we took over the rosewood giga mart and we have loads of food. We have no loot respawn so eventually we will have to move out... I am not thinking about resetting it after like 2 years. There is so much to loot and adventure so I think we will be fine for a very long time. Its just us 3. I think once my 2 friends gain some confidence we will maybe start to work to muldraugh and then later westpoint. But I will also let them work on their own and have their own adventures in rosewood. They still need to figure it out. I am just reading a book in safety while they are on their own mission😂😂😂
