If you are using normal switches (not dimmer) currently then I suspect it could be an issue with the bulbs themselves. Other option is to see if the bulbs are due an update, that has fixed it in some instances

@@Technology4Life we have 3 rooms and it’s happening in all of them. We have dim switches, just not installed yet. How do you update the bulbs? Through the app?

Yep. Settings -> Software Update. Make sure the power is going to the bulb I.e. Switch is on. It will tell you at the top if updates are available.

@@Technology4Life cool! I really appreciate the guidance. Last question: in two rooms- there’s one bulb that works but isn’t detected by the hue app. So they turn on, but they don’t turn color or dim and aren’t on the app. Any ideas?

I have the same issue sometimes. 1) move it the closest you can to the hub, they use a mesh but for the first time they need to communicate directly with the hub 2) use the serial number instead of searching manually for it 3) sometimes it just takes a few lucky goes for it to work. The two steps above will increase your chances

It’s from a company called Divoom and this model is called a Pixoo. They do a few different versions and the newest is called the Pixoo 64 but don’t have one of those

Worth noting it’s Bluetooth connection to phone. The pixoo64 is wifi but not used it myself yet

As far as i understand, its not using the iphone mic per se to do the beat syncing. You need a smartphone to start the music and make the link but after that, the phone doesnt need to be in the room

The only thing I can think of it’s that bridge is connected to router via ethernet and I’ve 2 wireless connections 2.4ghz and a 5ghz and in phone tried both neither still allow connection to meethue account (can’t find bridge) then I got confused as says connect it to same Wi-Fi as bridge, but bridge doesn’t connect wirelessly (unplugged ethernet and bridge don’t work lol) so as I’ve 2 wireless networks each having 2.4 and 5 at the end of the name which may differ to router name? If anyone is following me at this point I applaud 👏🏻 you. If say you just have a router with one wireless channel the name maybe the same as the router name. So need to find my router name, find if bridge to lights uses 2.4 or 5ghz channel, then change in settings that name to match router name and it may work.!!! I could be way over thinking this tho.

My bridge is wired and the phone is connected to wireless so guessing it isn't that. Can you share the internal ip address of the bridge and also your phone if you can find them? Wondering if they are somehow not on the same subnet. If you find the subnet, will also need the subnet mask.

I would need to research this a little. Will see if my wife does the same
