like the features, setup was difficult for some of my devices (August Door lock, kzfaq.infoUgkxhB5YOMNj04GuoAosExygP4cH-dKeb4aB Bose speaker)... but all switches and outlets (5), thermostat, tankless water heater. Unfortunately all I can do is turn on/off Bose. It doesn't support volume or changing channels, but I believe that is due to the particular speaker I have.... Worth getting if you already have other devices to use it with... I don't sit around and ask Alexa questions much so that doesn't really matter to me....

I was a huge fan of the ios widget. It’s very simple to understand and I can select my created scenes… I don’t think it’s a step further to cancel it…

Great news! You made my day, Justin! One thing I was really hoping for that I don't see in the new app or in your description is Alexa support for multiple hubs. Is that coming?

No word yet - but George Yianni, head of tech, said that is a major feature they want to bring. My thoughts are that this new build was built to support that in the future. It's a priority - or at least they say it is.

Great video...As per 2 mins on the vid, I can move the scenes around vut cannot move / re sort the light in a room? Running android. Does this make a difference? Thanks

i miss the timer funktion.. i used that one all day for bedroom lights, to let them run for 20 minutes and shut down automatic.. or i just didnt found it on the new app -.-

You can still use widgets on Android I have a pixel and I had to remake them but it def works

I wish there was a way to get the buttons on the hue wireless dimmer to do different functions (like being able to zone each button). Is there such a thing for Android?

Love the update the ONLY thing I wish they would change is.... To show us the "value" of whatever they are now allowing us to set as the "height" of each light in the entertainment zone. If you have lights on the left and right side, you have to "hope" the color value they are showing as you change the height matches.... I know they have some value between 0 - 100%.... so show it to us... so I can make sure the left & right are at exactly the same height.

Sad news about labs though - I use the tap toggle one all the time as it maximises use from the switches. Hopefully it'll get included.

For now, you can access it. My hope is that they are trying to migrate all of it into the app.

The scene light swap is just what I was wishing I had last month when I installed five GU10 bulbs iny living room and one of the Arctic Aurora colors was not the one I wanted right over too if me. However, what is needed now is to have the color swap action within the "Edit scene" context as it is only available when browsing scenes to add to a room. This is less of an issue when adding a prebuilt scene as I can delete it from my room, find it in the scenes library, hair the color swap action, and add it to my room. However, for my custom screens, e.g., chtisas light colors, now I need to edit multie bulbs if I want to swap l, say, the red and green bulbs/colors. I am also really looking forward to dynamics screnes in hopes that it will make my Arctic Aurora come to life!

Worked great on my iPad - straight in, no problems. iPhone, can't find the bridge!

Fixed it - restarted iPhone. Must have cleared the app cache.

there is a setting for each light that can be set to "turn on as same color when there's loss of power" Go to Settings > Lights > [select light] > Power On behavior - set to "Last-on" OR "Custom"

Hi! I have a question is there any chance to add a shortcut or a widget to turn off the lights? Because I had a widget to turn of the lights but now I can't create one to do that with the lights off😦

Is there a way to "hide" certain rooms from people's apps? there are multiple people in my house who want to use hue but not have everyone else's rooms on their screen. Or do I need to buy a new bridge for each person?

No, but this would be a great idea. Maybe have one user as the Custodian and the other phones which are registered (through location settings, perhaps) can be given access to specific rooms. @Philipshue, you should consider this!

Damnit. Have been using Shortcuts for months already but they are no longer working after the update. Guess I’ll just have to delete and redo them. >_< Edit. All working now! Guess they just needed time to get sorted out on the bridge. Phew!

So you can just slide through the colour wheel anymore and have all the lights in the room as the same colour?

No, you can still do that!! Tap on one of the lights in a room/zone and it will bring the colorwheel out for all lights

With the new Hue app, we now have to push the button on the bridge to switch bridges. In the previous version, while a little more difficult to find, the ability to switch bridges did not require you to touch the bridge. This is a tremendous step backwards.

It was completely rebuilt from the ground up. My walkthrough covers all of the viewable changes. A lot of the rebuild will effect future updates.
