I had to do this for a few days with my sweet "Carmel" who had Triaditis, but sadly he got worse and had to be put to sleep. That was 3 weeks ago and now his brother seems to be following in his foot steps. I began syringe feeding "Mocha" this morning. This is incredibly hard to still be grieving and now watching brother being so sick too.😢

These videos make this look easy my cat does not want to be force-fed I try she wants no part of it actually I need someone to help me but I don't have anyone she hasn't eaten in a number of days she drinks water but she doesn't eat I tried this but it didn't work she wouldn't let me feed her and I had a veterinarian who failed miserably only thing he ever did for 12 years was give her booster shots and look her over and says she's fine and when she became 12 years old he never said change your food he never gave her blood work to see what was happening June of last year he said she's fine and a few months later she was in full-blown kidney failure tell me that veterinarian shouldn't be out of business money money money that's it as I said the symptoms to him he said I suspect his kidney failure he knew but he could have known earlier blood work should be done on an older cat to make sure there's nothing coming on all he said when he found out she had kidney problem was change the food this is what we deal with all all veterinarians are not that way of course there's some wonderful veterinarians compassionate, and caring but the one I got well I never liked him anyway but he failed my cat miserably he said she was hard to work with so get a specialist he said that's what he told me when I was ready to leave my cat is a little bit hard to get along with with the veterinarian because she doesn't like him and she doesn't like what he does to her and I know I know how compassionate that person is are they sense it but Arnot veterinarians trained to treat cats of all nature he just didn't want to so I'm angry about it but it's water under the bridge now and I'm going to lose my cat my beautiful Siamese Jasmine she is just going to leave me and there's not really anything I can do I tried everything all of you have problems with your baby cats I wish you so much good luck that they will become well because my cat that's all I had left in this world I lost my husband 4 months later my only sister then I found out my cat has kidney failure lost a neighbor and friend to covid virus within six months I wish all of you good luck with your pets because it's a terrible heartbreak when you lose them God bless everyone treating them this is mrs. cat's not eating is a common problem more than you think i have a 16 year old cat always healthy and eating then that suddenly that stopped tried different dry and wet foods nothing worked, then i thought i know they like the treats so i got a couple of bags thinking if he don't take this well he's done for he'll starve well when i shook the bag he knew what it was and wanted it ,i took out a handful he gobbled it down then i tried it again same thing ate it all next i'm going to try grinding it up and adding to their food thought you'd liked too know

This is a very helpful video! I have two cats who recently had their first vet check-up in over a decade and had to get their teeth cleaned. One had to get some teeth pulled and now both are one antibiotic. Right now, it is incredibly difficult to give them their medicine since I feel like I am hurting them and they truly hate me. Did you feel the same way? And is there any way to combat that?

Please if you could help, I am really worried. He eats but only a little, I also got him treated through antibiotics but still appetite is very less.

I'm taking care of my 13 yr cat the same way. One month and four days into it. We have to give her subQ fluids (ringers lactate) to keep her kidneys from failing. Did Lucy have to have that? And did she have to continue on meds after the hepatic lipidosis crisis ended? It is a challenge but she would surely die if you had been negligent.

Why still fed with syringe? Is your cat not well ? Otherwise, She's big enough to eat by herself
