Everyone’s talking about the Coronavirus! And if you had to talk about it in English, maybe you got stuck because you couldn’t think of the right words. After all, it’s not like you talk about epidemic related vocabulary every day.
This is why I created this video, to help you find the right words and get into the conversation!
And on a more personal note… times are a little crazy - People are panicking, conspiracies bloom and there's a lot of disinformation out there so it's hard to know what to expect.
I just hope that you’re all safe, no matter where you are.

You are absolutely right.Coronavirous has not only affected our bodies, but our lives.The outbreak has canceled our Easter holidays and now we are worried about loosing our summer ones.However, very good job!Your accent in English, even for me, a Greek student, is such accessible.Also, I liked the way you make viewers feel happiness with your humour in one of the worst events ever, and that you talked about racism against Asia. Thanks to teach us basic vocabulary for CORONAVIRUS conversations, in my case THE OUTBRAKE in my city demmanded to the goverment takes measures to prevent that citizen contrat the virus. staying separated of my family has been the worst part for now.

Hi, from Japan. I really liked the message you sent us at the end of the video. And the message at the beginning. Yes, agree. current situation surroundin’ the world is so strange. Climate, finance, politics… It is frustrating that I can do a little about it. In addition to that, Corona Virus. I guess It’s good to try to stay happy at such this time. When I see your video, I feel so positive. BTW, one of my kids will graduate from a kinder this spring. And a lot of ceremonies and activities related to that have been canceled. So sad for him, and sad for me.

Dear Hadar, Outstanding again! You made me laugh, even talking about such a serious topic! Nobody else has been able yet to combine coronavirus facts, fantastic pronunciation explanation, anti-xenophobia stand, and refreshing humor! In Germany, two categories of behavior dominate. Coolness on the one, and angst, on the other hand. Some people are weirdly panic buying. Precautions are taken slowly but surely, whereas over 1200 coronavirus cases were confirmed. Plenty of events have been canceled or postponed, and more people work from home. You are right, blaming others doesn't help, xenophobia has no place in our societies!

Low enrollment in my ESL classes, due to fears of Covid-19, so they might be cancelled, and I also work privately face-to-face. I live with a chronic illness and am immuno-compromised, so it's important for me to take precautions around who I'm close to. I've asked my in-person students to consider Skyping for now :-) some of them are losing work so won't be able to pay to work with me but I hope they stay in touch. I'm thinking of offering sliding scale skyping to my students whose budgets are affected by loss of hours.

I'm Yuri and I'm Brazilian. Before that all Corona Virus things happen, I had a trip to London scheduled for next April. But of course I had to cancel it, because all Europe is very infected, as you know. I would be there for one month and I would do exactly a English course. It has been hard to me accepted that, because it would be my first time abroad. I'm quite sad.

As the virus started to spread, I bought whatever i needed to stay home because we are near to epicenter of this outbreak so there was a high probability of the spread of the virus. Now schools are shut down and i take online classes. Some of my friends got the virus but then they started to feel better and now they don't contract the virus anymore. I know this virus is dangerous and contagious but perhaps the only thing that is more devastating for your health is fear cus fear makes the body immune system weak. Precaution is better than cure. I pray for everyone and I hope we overcome it soon. Lots of love from Iran🇮🇷🖤

Here in the area I live in, the authorities have just ordered schools to shut down (is this the right expression?).
