I remember the time in the 5th grade when I thought I was unattractive and didn't care about trying to look good. Then on Valentine's day a girl in my class gave me a a candy with a card taped to it saying "call me" with her phone number, I was scared as to what I should say, anytime I was around her for the rest of that year I would get awkward of nervous. I regret it now, I'm in the 8th grade and there is a girl I like she is really pretty, I have no clue how to talk to her. she has looked at me a lot. I don't want to make the same mistake again so I'm here to learn.

What I have realised is the more you think about something the more nervous you get. So don't think about your crush at all. It will increase your nervousness to extreme.

Genuinely, I feel the hardest thing about talking to someone you are attracted to is just the awkward feeling you get. Just do it is some really great advice but it can be hard to believe. What I recommend is to just go for it before you have time to think about it, who knows, it may pay off. You never know unless you try.

Wondering everyone’s thoughts on this??? Feedback please. I’m speaking to a girl again long distance through social media whom I haven’t spoken to in 20 years. We randomly reconnected after I looked her up and then there she was. I was 18, her 16 when we met and parted before. I remember the feeling I had then and how I felt about her almost immediately and it’s come back, I feel she’s beautiful though not perfect and her energy makes me smile, she sparks my interest in moments, though I know she is not without faults, we speak quite easily and freely with each other, I’m being patient with communication as I don’t want to overwhelm her and I want it to be organic in that it happens in the right time frame. I will know her further as days proceed, but I believe she is worth the effort and wait.

Me and my old best friend just kinda drifted apart after not having a single class together in the ENTIRETY of middle school, and I've kinda bounced back and forth from not being able to stand him with the other hispanics in my school to being able to tolerate him after seeing much worse from others, so it feels a bit weird now. Today, I also noticed that my crush was looking at me a bit more and in a few instances, looking away first. She wears a mask all the time, even when we're outside, so I can't see her expression (or her face :( ), but, I just had to notice. Especially after she had been absent for Friday of last week, Tuesday, and Wednesday, along with 2 other absences this quarter. I also noticed that she sat behind me. Not directly, but there was a bit of an empty gap, and we were aligned as directly above each other from a top-down perspective, if that makes any sense.
