If you exhale first and then talk with your mouth, you are also speaking from your diaphragm because your diaphragm contracts to let out the air.

Good trick, worked as long as I’m being mindful. The issue is to remember to practice this when actually having conversations - that’ll be the tricky part. My voice never travels over loud music of crowds talking, it’s always very discouraging. Even if I’m shouting, they struggle to hear me.

Same here! I still struggle with this. Especially if I need to talk for more than 10 minutes. I have barely any vocal stamina. But when I feel discouraged by my weak voice I ponder on Demosthenes' speech impairment and how he overcame it with iron will and relentless training
