The easy way to tape the perfect inside corner with the Perfect 90. You can buy this at any Home Depot or straitflex.com As a pro myself I love this stuff. So trust me you'll love it as well.

If you cut the ends straight instead if s triangle shape, what do you do at an I traction? Do the ends of the tape get overlapped?

Domenic, nice video. I am doing some sheetrock in my basement and had to create an access door to the electric service panel. I used drywall and a piano hinge. The door closes with a hidden magnetic touch latch. I bet lots of people have the same need. Would love to see your take on this.

Dominick we are taping an interior closet with lots of inside corners and wall ceiling joints too. The carpenter banged up the drywall leaving large gaps too. Can this product fill in the gaps? Do we use the mud to fill in gaps and wholes?
@Askmediy10 жыл бұрын
Depending on how bad but yeah sure this is a great product. Fill the caps first anyway just to make sure.

On the second coat, you didn't put mud all the way to the center correct? I need to redo my bathroom and I want to use the Strait-Flex prefect 90. Just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. I need to redo all the corners in my bathroom as a matter of fact. I used the mesh tape the first time around and I ended up with a few cracks. Same thing happened with my butt-joint, on the ceiling. However, I've already covered it.

Perfect timing I just saw this stuff at home depot today and picked it up to give a warped corner a nice straight angle. Any thoughts on using it where the ceiling and wall meet? Crisp lines make a room look so much better. Where my celing and wall meet it's slightly warped this stuff would make it look beautiful. The ceiling has popcorn texture which could make it a problem.
@Askmediy10 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. I'll be making more videos using Strait-Flex's other products this weekend. They really do have some awesome stuff. Inside and outside corners perfect for what you'll be doing.

I used a belt sander from harbor freight and made a border around the room where the wall and ceiling met. This border allowed the bead to lay in and I then built up the area then did my best at mimicking the texture. You cannot tell at all!

How do you recommend coating a wall that's greater than 45 degrees with this stuff? Perfect 90 works tits for an offset angle but I'm unsure how to do finish coats. Thanks!

Love all your videos! Do you have any videos on taping/mudding greater than 90 degree angles? It's baffling me. I have a full height angle of about 120 degrees, but don't know what to cover it with. Good old fashioned wet tape or what! Thanks!

Novice here, had a hard time with second coat trying to feather. I had to do lots of sanding. The box says to bed the tape, let dry then lightly sand then apply second coat and sand. It also says to use all purpose compound. What kind did you use?
@Askmediy8 жыл бұрын
+Matt Abcdef Just a regular joint compound is what they mean

I only use this product for inside corners that have huge gaps, or i am mixing new drywall with old walls. This product is way to expensive, and FYI you can also install tape the same way.
