Thank you for this, I have blending colours down but couldn't understand why it was so much harder to colour pack- it took a lot longer. The wrist vs elbow makes a lot of sense and worked well. I can do either depending on what I am after now. Ta!

Great tip. Thanks for this video. I also figured out that a good power supply makes a huge difference. Constant power helps with solid lines too. I had a cheap power supply and my machine speed wasn't constant. I bought a good quality power supply and my machine now runs smoothly and consistently. Keep up the Great content. Much love.

This is great and gives me a lot to think of as I continue to work towards training. I'm not touching human skin until I'm in an apprenticeship and my mentor tells me I'm ready. Until then it's all fake skin and oranges. I'm not one hundred percent sure if I understand the concept of the "bog/give" section. Thank you, Jono!

yes you are right the pendulum movement seen here is more for shading than packing. I think you can achieve that with only moving your fingers and not your wrist and watching needle depth at all the time.. Great videos again.. Thank you

Really useful, everyone else has just said it's about the stretch and getting the right depth, but the technique with the elbow makes a lot of sense! Question - is it possible to pack black using a 3.5mm stroke, and how would you go about packing an area like the bicep/inner thigh/stomach? Great video, thanks!

Yes I use a Cheyenne Pen which is set at 3.5mm stroke. For areas like biceps and stomachs you just need more stretch but everything else is the same. Thanks for watching!

I actually bought a machine from a local shop( It wasn't branded or something. It just came in a plane brown box with something like a model no. on top of it) for 80€,seems ok for now. Works fine, some screws startes to lose up a bit and the rubber band on top of the machine,not the one holding the needle,the other one that holds the springs together, just broke while i was tattoing.

Jono, do you have a video on correct needle angle? I don’t understand how color packing in tight circles (with a shader or mag) at a 45 degree angle is recommended since it puts the needles into the skin at different depths. If you could explain this I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
