I’ve just paused the video at 4:31 and oh my what a loving kind smile that the lady is showing to her little girl … to me this is the epitome of a perfect mum and daughter relationship. I can’t over emphasise just how important and essential that bond is. Children need this not an iPad or a trip to McDonalds to keep them quiet. Xx

How beautiful and such a great idea. I intend to do this with my eldest granddaughter. This is the best way in that you need to simply give children your attention and time … better than a million iPads … a child needs to experience all sorts of activity that way they discover what they like to do and what they don’t hopefully leading to hobbies and interests which in turn might inspire them in what they want to do in life. thank you dear for such kind things that you are advocating and for your your beautiful work with your little girl, she will never forget it xx

Awesome! Do you think if they don't finish coloring a page and want to start another one in the book, should we intervene, encouraging them to concentrate on finishing a task or did you let them skip finishing in the beginning?

My son is not interested in colouring. What to do? He is 3.5 yrs old.

Same here my son just turned four and he has no interest he just kind of scribbles all over.

My cousin and I are the same age. He used to scribble all over while I colored neatly... Today, both of us are doctors. He just wasn't good at doing art and that is ok 👍. I will add that boys tend to like other games like running around (unless he really enjoys art), while girls tend to be more relaxed and color with patience. Not every child is the same, but it is a trend I've noticed.

Yup. Mine just want to get over with and be done so he doesn't take time to stay within the lines. Sometimes but often times he does not

This is how I teach my little girl too. And I'm proud that at the age of 3 till 4 she was able to color neatly. By the way I have a question, do we really need to limit out child with primary colors? Just like the way her teacher in Day care said. Only primary colors but my 4 years old is already familiar with primary colors and already knows other colors be because she likes painting.

Other than improving their pencil control I don't see any benefit to just colouring in pictures. It stifles creativity. If children in my nursery class wanted to colour in pictures then there were some available, but it was certainly not an activity I would force on anyone.
