Being with my ex narc for the past 8 yrs. made me observe this very pattern. I think they wanted to feel very important in a way that is disturbing. Instead of building trust with their intimate partners, they destroy the trust that they built with you (in that case lying when they tried to put you in their pedestal). Once they have a committed partner, they can’t stand being loved authentically by one person. Instead they go on and prey on other women that is susceptible to their love bombing. My ex narc was a compulsive pursuer in a relationship. He would go back and forth to the women he were involved before or try to meet women in complicated situation so that going public isn’t an option while having you as their main supply. In the end they destroy the very person that loved them. They are like toddlers testing your love for them. Showing and telling them you love them isn’t enough, they will cheat on your face to make you feel inadequate even if you are more than they deserve. They want to test your love for them so they keep hurting you and when you have enough of their abuse, you leave. Then they tell you, ‘you never loved me because you abandon me’. Well in fact it’s their actions and narcissistic behavior that made you leave or in other cases they discard you and will give silly reasons of the discard. Mine would use, ‘she’s crazy’, ‘she’s a nega-star’, ‘she insults me’, ‘she cheated on me’ et al. So with this pattern of infidelities and emotional abuse (who knows what else) it’s better to walk away. I did walk away and is now rebuilding my life with our daughter. We are struggling financially because I’m not earning enough to provide for my daughter but now we get to laugh and bring with us sunshine every day. No lies, no abuse and no fake love. We only live once, forgive yourself and move forward but never forget the lesson that narc abuse taught you. That is to respect yourself to walk away from what’s hurting and destroying you. That you deserve a life of solitude, happiness and love. Hugs*** :) Additionally I hired a private detective Barryinvestigation@gmail. com. Once I knew what the narc was up to, it got easier to get over that lying, cheating, sack of doo doo, loser. I didn’t need closure from the narc, I paid for it. Best money I EVER spent!

They're lying if what they're saying makes them come off as very special, unfairly victimized, privy to hidden information or a combination of the above. If they fly into an abusive rage when you question any detail of what they are claiming, you've nailed it. They made it up.

What people really need in this world at this time. That’s why “They” quit teaching logic, reasoning, and the scientific method. To fool, or make fools of, the masses. People have no discernment any more. You should be able to “see” better. Good vs Evil, Right vs Wrong, Threat vs Friendly. Teach your kids! They will not get this at school anymore. Tell them to believe in their gut. Help them develop that. Evil has never been more visible, yet so few can See.

_"You know they are lying when they open their mouth"_ Only when you're wise to the fact you're dealing with a narcissist. If you're still trapped under their spell then you're too worried about trying to keep them pleased and calm. Mine was honest enough most of the time which made me think she wasn't a liar. In fact she was a pathological liar blended with enough truth to hide it well. She always turned things into being my fault and accused me of cheating and lying, when in fact it was her doing those things all along. I'll never live like that again, if I can help it.

Oh so right on! I just love Lisa! Wish I had her in my life 25 years ago! I had to figure it out on my own…marriage therapists didn’t even know how to put their finger on this, in the 90’s! So detrimental to relationships.

It's sad how many therapists do not recognize abusive behavior and narcissism. I saw many therapists from age 20-34 (90s-2000s) and NONE of them used the words "abuse" or "narcissism", even though my NM, her behavior, and the way she treats me was a topic of convo in EVERY therapy session I have attended. Even the PhD didn't recognize it (he barely spoke at all, he was a terrible therapist). I discovered narcissism on my own, "diagnosed" my mom on my own, and brought these findings to my therapist at the time. Finally I have answers. I have known for a decade, and my life has dramatically shifted because I know WHAT my mother is and WHY she behaves the way she does and how better to handle her. Unbelievable, how inadequate the world of therapy really is......

@@amandajohnson-williams7718 I didn't keep a journal, but reading all of our texts over the last several years sort of had the same effect. There were issues I'd forgotten about, as well as many signs of her hypocrisy, verbal/emotional abuse, and gaslighting me that I didn't notice at the time. Now while reading those and knowing that she was cheating on me for much of that time helped resolve my anger and keep me in no contact mode. I'm on month 2 of no contact and still moving forward. Same. I actually had multiple instances of letting my sibling know I don’t want a relationship w/ her throughout childhood but I was already spiritually and societally guilted into the “forgive and forget” mindset. My rebellion (and power now) was NEVER forgetting (honestly never really forgiving of the actions either). I quickly learned that they can only TELL me to forget, but they can’t actually make me do it. Did that result in rumination, maybe, but at least they can’t continue dismiss my concerns for their comfort

If you remain resilient against a narcissist's attempts to trigger you and do not take the bait of their manipulative tactics, they frequently end up letting truths slip because they have been triggered themselves by their unsuccessful attempt to trigger you. This pattern has been consistently observed. The moral is: do not do what narcissists expect from you; their expectation is their manipulation.

Haha my covert ex would always have a complain about work. Once, his friends who work with him leave that’s when he had a story to tell. I realized that 1 on 1 i their favorite because how would you know they’re lying.?? Now I trick them into asking a random ( nothing hurtful ) question they probably lied about to see if they say the same answer.

For me the worst part of the narcissist era was.... even though HIS ACTIONS STINK, and they’d been noted, proved, obvious, and simple FACT. My actions were also noted as well, good, ok, right, normal. Nothing you get extra credit for, but at least you’d like your life noted in reality by the people around you. But with this guy, he brings in OTHERS that don’t even know you or have a basis in realty to opine. Flying monkeys. He gets liars to help him. It hasn’t worked, but the threat looms. 🤢🤮☕️😎🤟🚫stay positive people. We are hip. 😀✊

Ok funny/weird story about a moment I had with my narcissistic boyfriend. This was about a couple yrs ago. It was early in the day and we were kind of arguing. Like the beginning of an argument maybe. I'm always quick to raise my voice and he is a much quieter talker. I start to raise my voice. It doesn't seem like I'm yelling yet. Just loud talking but I can see how someone else would consider it yelling. He says to me "why are you yelling at me?" I reply with "I don't know. Cuz I'm Italian." He looks me dead in the eyes and says "no your not. Your German." Now he met my 100% grandmother a few years prior. He for sure knows I'm not Italian. I was speechless. I just walked away. The way he said it to me was very serious. He's German so I believe in his hear he rewrote my history and penciled me as German like himself. Pretty clear red flag I'd say but by then i was already in too deep. Still kind of funny though

It would be great If someone can make a video of this info but with realistic examples in a way that kids can understand, because kids in my opinion are the most vulnerable to narcissistic abuse especially by their peers.

I agree 100 percent. Sitting by and watching my beautiful grandchildren go through it is breaking my heart. The courts can't do anything about it. It all happens behind closed doors.

Oh my goodness! I see the family member and her abusive lies! I haven't spoken to her at all for 11 months. Yet, I hear from other family that she is calling me a liar with everything! I cannot stop her.I will not put her back in my life! I am instead going to prove her as a liar by being myself! It's sad really! I am always shocked by the things she has said and done! Always, painfully so! Thank you for helping me heal and sort out where the real me is! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Yes people do lie. But more than that, people generally are not actually lying, they are passing on lies from others or the news or their education.

Lying or only believing that all of their advice should be called only, "That's living." Difficult to tell at first. I like Lisa A. Romano's Breakthrough witnessing videos about what it is like until getting their number. Lies in someone's life is the best way to put it. As for callng someone both a liar and very rude while expecting them to have been omniprescent all along while serving you in return that would not be a healthy way of living. Lisa is not like that. She has integrity.
