Just another thought, the scoober putt might be handy in a strong headwind, instead of the disc lifting up, like in a standard putt, it would force it down into the basket.

This is really interesting because it's a throw that personifies the bridge between ultimate and DG, in the same way that Brodie has now come to personify that link. It's a concrete example of how a skill from ultimate can be super useful in a DG setting and it's been proven. I'm definitely going to be utilizing the scoober in situations like Brodie's describing and also have it as a tool for off-the fairway situations that call for creative scrambling.

Wow, I guess this shot came around after my ultimate playing days. I've been playing disc golf for a LONG TIME...when we used to call it "object golf" using a Frisbee (1980)...and I've never really gotten comfortable with the thumber or tomahawk, so I'm going to have to give this a try. Taking my portable basket to the back yard now. (Corona isolation....blah~!!) Anyway, my son and I have been watching you for quite a while now (he intro'd me to your videos) and I wondered if you were going to give disc golf a go. Glad to see that you have, although I'm totally jealous that you're starting out and playing with McBeth and company~!! Keep it coming~!

Awesome seeing your Ultimate experience and variety of throws being incorporated into disc golf. I firmly believe that many of your throws will start to find success for you, which will help others feel confident in using them. We can't worry about looking weird or unconventional as the most important thing is to improve the sport. The beauty of the Scoober is that it is highly repeatable in stressful situations due to minimal movements.

Bro, I'm an old Ultimate guy who just started Disc Golf in late 2019. I was throwing the ol the Scoober all day on the disc golf course yesterday after every putt. Finally, I had a shot to win on hole 18 but there was a bush/tree between me and the basket (low ceiling) so I could not throw under. Went with the Scoober from about 28' over the tree and nailed it. That Utimate experience pays off! Thanks for sharing!

Brodie, 6 month player, saw this video about 2 weeks ago. I never got a chance to practice it though. I played a mini run by a local group in burleson, and found myself in an untenable position on the #8 hole, in the middle of a bush, at about 25 feet, needing to save par. I remembered this video and said what the heck, only shot I have, and first time I ever tried it, hit the putt. Thank you for expanding my thought process when facing these situations!!

That's awesome. An almost completely new throw that has real utility multiple times a round. Thanks for sharing this, Brodie. My go-to in that 50-foot left-to-right putt situation has been a patent-pending annie putt. It's so cool to suddenly have another, much more controllable, way to do that. And putts on baskets at the top of hills with the scoober look way easier.
