Hey y'all!
I've decided to start a new series on my channel, a beginner's horse tips series. I have a lot of people that watch my videos that are beginners, or they are wanting to get into horses. If you have any topics that you have in mind that you would like me to make a video on for this series, comment them below! So.. yes I'm here and you who are reading this are too. I'm a younger (I mean younger) equestrian who is starting western. Now I'm foud with it from earlier experience but everyone who has explained how to cinch up a saddle on to the horse has confused me so much. I don't not understand them- but this video helped me so so much on how to, I'm going riding soon in western so I wanted to know how to do it. So thank you after a few years of posting this! ( sum kid )

Awesome video. I’m not a beginner rider but I recently got a western saddle and bit my own girth after watching someone show me how to tie it up but someone showed me the latigo knot and then I bought a smart girth with a buckle and this video really helped me to tie it up so know I have no worries

I personally buckle it on the cinch because it’s easy to undo and adjust and if you need to get your saddle off quickly you can

Easy to undo is my fear; it's why I tie instead.

Dump the roller, two wraps and pull!!! Buckle if you’d like, I rope cattle with no tie or buckle, no lumps under saddle skirts and able to snug up by just reaching down…

I not a beginner but when they have cinch problem they can also have ulcer problems but you need get check by a vet but you do need slow tight cinch be comfort

Hi, just noticed you didnt use the actual buckle on the cinch and used a tie knot. I prefer this as the buckles seem to not be so secure and I have tried both but then the strap wont do up tight enough. Am i correct in saying you can just ignore the fact it has the buckle and just go with the knot for the secure fit ? Thanks

New to western. Another video said keep 8 inchs between the d rings ( saddle to girth d) yours looks a looks a lot longer than 8 how do you measure youd girth length?

I Have a Horse that is girth sour every time I tighten the girth (i do it gently) he turns his head and tries to bite me Idk if its attitude or it hurts How would I know (and fix it)?

Maybe your over tightening? Your hand should be able to slip between the Latigo and the horse's side. It should be snug but not tight.😊

@Deej P 2 years later he still does it! And someone recommended exactly what you said and I still do it to this day. He was checked for ulcers last year but he doesn't have any. If you know any other reasons that may be causing it pls share!
