In this video i show you how to tie a Double Uni knot. Braid to monofilament/fluorocarbon fishing line. knowing the double Uni knot comes in handy when changing your fishimg line on your float reel. I use my float reel quite often to catch trout and salmon. mono line is great line for your float reel. their are many different brands, and prices very. in this video I'm using sufix advance, but normally I like to use sufix siege. they didn't have any available at the stores I went to, so I decided to give this monofilament fishing line a try. I like to run 10lb mono line for my main line, and I'll usually use 4-6lb drennan fluorocarbon as my leader line. I don't use a double Uni for that. I tie a swivel to the mono and fluoro line.
in the future I'll show you how I set up my float rod for trout and salmon fishing different rivers, creeks, and streams.
The Double Uni-Knot can be a difficult knot to master and it can be a bit repetitive so it takes a great deal of careful attention to detail as you work through the knot. It helps to go slowly and to take your time in doing the steps correctly until you have really mastered the art of this particular knot.
The Double Uni Knot is used by anglers of salt and fresh water fish. It is the ideal knot for joining lines together that are similar or different strengths.
Thanks for watching. tight lines
