Pack of 3 new clips is $5 lol. Best pouch I’ve owned - what other company offers a replacement clip for so cheap vs buying a brand new $30 pouch when it’s not needed..
@marquismyerscough38184 ай бұрын
Buying new clips is not my concern. I liked the pouches when i first got them. Replaced clips several times. I wouldn't buy these pouches again. Yes, replacement clips are cheap. Cheap to buy and cheaply made. I've owned several different brands of pouches and belts over the years. Toughbuilt pouches would be good for a plumber or electrician. I'm 40 and worked construction my whole life. What would happen if I was 30 ft off the ground, had my framing gun hooked on my pouch and the clip broke? It could hit someone in the head or cause damage to someones property. Should I tell the person, its okay. I just need to put on a new clip. Safety is my concern. I'd rather buy a pouch that won't fall apart.
@J-p164 ай бұрын
Idk maybe I’m much more weak than I thought, but you kinda need to rip that latch to open it up. Sounds like you might be really packing on some weight to their clips. You should check out holstery’s clip on holsters as a single clip to hook your framing nailer onto, or real heavy stuff. Love holstery’s stuff in addition to clip tech, can’t beat the combo if you ask me
@marquismyerscough38184 ай бұрын
@@J-p16 Thanks for the tip. I'm definitely rough on them. Carrying lots of weight on them happens quite often. Sometimes the clip on the bottom that fails and comes undone, or it's the top part if the clip that snaps. This time I screwed the clips shut with little screws I use for aluminum. So far, the new clips are holding up.

@marquismyerscough38184 ай бұрын
Normally id run a gas compressor in this situation, but I thought I'd give this a try. It was about 200ft from an outlet. I wouldn't want to do this with the Dewalt 20 gun, I'd rather run this with a pneumatic gun. The dewalt gun is great for a quick repair. Not the best for laying shingles. They have problems jamming up. I've been using this compressor on a lift with a crown stapler. I love this compressor, use it all the time. Filling up tires, works great.

@marquismyerscough38185 ай бұрын
This is 24 hours after I caught the trout. They are nice and dry to the touch, and still nice and juicy on the inside. All I did was take a spoon and take the spawn of the main skein. Put it in that ziplock bag with a fair amount of pure borax, and a about 2 tablespoons of orange borax o fire, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Put it in the fridge till the next day. This is the result. If you don't quote get it the way you want, you could always add more borax the next day if needed. Lasts a long time. I usually just use salt, but like to change it up sometimes. I've already caught 5 trout on this batch of cure. Still have some left

Good ones,Can you share your rod, line and hook setup?
@marquismyerscough38185 ай бұрын
I'm using a 12 foot lamiglas redline rod, paired with a kingpin imperial float reel. For setting up the line. I'm using an 18 gram slip float attached to my 10 lb main line. Then some weight to keep the float upright. Then you'll want to attach a swivel to your main mono line, followed by a fluorocarbon lead line. I'm fishing fast deep water. So I'm running a longer lead line about 6 ft from my swivel. You can adjust your float to go deeper from there. On the lead line I put on a few tiny weights to help get my bait and hook down into the water. It takes practice to get the proper weight spacing. Depending on the location I'm float fishing determines on my float size, amount of weight, and length of lead line. I will be posting videos of line set up for different waterways in the future. Subscribe to keep yourself informed. Thanks for watching

Ya. 4 when the water is clear, and up to 6 when the water is dirty. Use natural looking beads with clear water, and bright beads when it's dirty. I like to run drennan line for my lead line mostly.

I don't even own any 10 mil. It would be okay when the water is dirty. I've seen people use them floating the Niagara river. I'd stick to the 8 and 6mil. I use 8 most of the time. 6 when the fish are being real picky.
