Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

I think one could stabilize the mortars themself, to make them more accurate. As it stands for now, they swing all over the place which causes them to be so inaccurate. I'd say connect all mortars with metal bars and in between each 2 mortars place a metal beam going all the way to ground snap at 90 degrees.

The recoil is not the problem, it's just that over that huge distance the projectile travels, the slight random deviation that is inherent in all weapons is increased by a huge factor. So nothing you can do about it.

the main way to get a good angle is timing and if you have high ping, its much harder to get good angles

i know this is old, but it’s because there are the tier 1 mortars (incendiary mortars) and then the tier 2 mortars (heavy mortars) and then the cannon fired like a mortar, making it a tier 3 mortar
