Inside 2K Customs Sorry this is long... I tried again tonight. I used cheap Gila shit cuz thats all thats available at any store. Its hard to judge how much overhang on the sides to have because on the Ford Focus the window is concealed and hidden on the sides, so i had to guess how much to pull to the side and cut. I think i had too much overhang and the tint scrapes on the side seal when rolling the window up. I used heat gun for fingers and then on corners. The heat warps and bends the corners so when i transfered it to the inside of window, that corner will not stick. Getting it tucked in at bottum seal is not too hard but fingers kept popping up. I think i got them out with heat gun? Half my problem is probably the cheap tint. I'll probably leave it on till it falls off or i come up with enough money for a professional install. At this point im kinda scared to waste any more money on it myself. Great videos though man. Hope your channel grows.

Dick Riley cool, it always looks easy on videos ;) when u cut your first side, you want to move film just to the edge of rubber seal or even a little less, then once you cut other side, move film back so is equal on both sides, it should not go outside of rubber seal, i usually keep it to edge or middle of the seal on both sides. Now when you shrink/heat tint then do not shrink top or sides, do just the bottom. From what you are saying it sounds like you have burned edges. Film then wont stick. When you install film there should be no fingers on top or sides, only if anything then some may come up at the bottom, you should be able to shrink them. Remember also that tint shrinks only one way, usually on top and bottom of the roll, but when u try shrink sides it won’t happen and you will burn the film. Inside 2K Customs Thankyou. I will take this advice. I am determined to learn. I did order some precut so i can bypass cutting. With the Gila i DID get a small finger on the side and i was NOT able to work it out, even with heat gun. My last two attempts (1st without preheating fingers, 2nd preheating fingers) did not matter. Both times after installing on inside window, fingers popped up on bottum. Was it the cheap film??? Anyway (besides the precut i ordered) I have 1 more roll of Gila to replace a window i did today? I may use it for practice or cover a house window, too much sun in the morning. Thankyou sir. I wont bother you more. 🤝 You are a wonderful youtuber. Subbed.

Tadas Jurevicius hey, use fresh 45 degree olfa blade. They do not cut through the glass, however you still need to be carefull!

It’s actually a stainless steel blade which stops it from scratching and damaging the window

Superterminal there might be a gap but few mm, maybe 5mm max. It should look fairly flash.

benjiman runnells use can use a protractor for the tucker squeegee and you can use a hair dryer for the heatgun
