I was thinking about you. I started applying. I'm going to apply for both PD and sheriffs. Im going through a divorce and i said i can't live in sadness, i have to prove myself and let her go and let the two lovebirds be "happy"

I am currently in prep for the academy....I've got a loooong way to go, but I really want to be an officer for my local police dept. Out of 500+ officers in my town, there are only 30-50 female officers on patrol....I want to change that statistic and have a rewarding career in law enforcement. I have worked previously as an armed guard this past year, have my bachelors degree and have been working out consistently for about a year. I feel prepared and I’m so excited for the academy! I love this so much! I just gave birth 4 months ago so I have lots of physical training and prep and to get on a good diet before I actually apply for the police academy but I am going on a ride along tomorrow and am super excited for it! I’m starting a new career as a 911 dispatcher in August. Aside from the physical fitness testing, which I’ve found important for life anyway, your videos have been pretty great for all public service jobs. The testing/backgrounds are pretty rigorous and I’ve been testing for 8 months. Lol. Just have to get drug,vision and hearing tests for the final offer!

I got my offer letter last week and will be starting academy on Aug 2, and that's so CLOSE. i do not feel prepared at all but i have been eating better and working out more consistently so i am hoping for the best :) thank you for this video!!

Hello. I'm a new subscriber since a few days ago. 27 years ago, I was ready (I thought I was, but after watching your videos, I most certainly was not 🤣) to go to the police academy. Low and behold, I found out I was pregnant and never went. It was probably a blessing in disguise because my health has declined quite a bit since then (osteoarthritis,) and I think I would have been quite embarrassed since I was out of shape (thanks to you, I now know I dodged a figurative bullet.) These days I live vicariously through videos on youtube, and I enjoy yours quite a bit. It's nice to see a policewoman who takes such good care of herself and isn't afraid to be "girly" sometimes but could still kick your butt. Take care out there!! 💖

Great information for Academy preparedness. Keep encouraging people( especially females) to become LEOs. It is an amazing career. As a much older female LEO I think about quitting but can’t because I would miss it too much. Great job Stefanie!

I’m so scared of not failing (I think it’s a complex I’ve had from school, over prepare so there’s no chance of failure lol thanks mom) I’ve been running (which I’m pretty good but my speed isn’t the best) I started weight training and I’m taking mma and jujitsu. I’ve been doing this everyday I’ll be going in next year my motivation has been struggling but my fear of failure burns. Oh also luckily for me my way to decompress is running and it really does help clear my mind and settle my emotions

I’m pretty confident in the physical part I played basketball through high school and have been going to the gym on and off for the past two years and all my jobs I’ve had to heavy lift I’m more stressed on the learning aspect like the tests. Do you have any tips on education part of the academy?

It's just for a couple of months?! What Academy did you attend? I'm in Flagstaff AZ and friends are telling me it's between 17 & 20 weeks! I can Ace the physical tests but what part of the Academic tests were hard to you? I take the NTN exam on August the 7th to be considered for the position of Flagstaff Police Officer! Nice video btw!

Haha when I say a couple months our academy was 8-9 months but that’s because we didn’t go every day. It was tues/thurs/sat

@@calilion2485 my bad I didn’t see your reply. But I’m in the San Antonio police academy in Texas it’s the best in the country so many people leave to come to the department. And we run a shit load the most we ran at once was 5 miles but during are first week the first day it was 8 miles through out the day not just at once

@@calilion2485 if I where you man if you can run without getting shin splints than increase your mileage every week you don’t start till august so you have time to get better but departments very we have a super good one plus are instructors definitely the PT ones are good

I'm 35 and thinking about becoming a sheriffs deputy in the county I live in, I get along great with a lot of the deputies from other jobs I've worked and they really sold me on becoming an officer. I'm worried that I may be a little old? But I have 5 months to get in shape before the BLET courses. Any advice?

All this advice is nice and all, but it won't matter at all when you ruin your career because you kill someone out of pure lack of emotional control. Tell these fools to get right in the head before they even CONSIDER a job in law enforcement.
