Life and Death week continues with Ophelia! I'm trying out the xBRZ texture filter in Citra, and I'm curious what you think. To me, it makes the sprites look amazing, but unfortunately it introduces some texture glitches in the 3D battle scenes. Let me know how you feel about it.

Ngl, I haven't really noticed the effect of the texture filter in the last 2 videos (granted, I haven't compared filter vs no-filter, but I don't dislike the filter), but I have noticed the texture glitches which can be quite obvious and distracting at times. Alternatively, Headcanon: It is the fell power of Odin Dark and Ophelia Dusk made manifest as dark energy surrounding them and their foes!

In the last month I got into an argument with someone who parroted the whole "Odin was mediocre at best" spiel, and he took some time to dis Life & Death builds in particular. I eventually convinced him that Dark Mage/Sorcerer Odin was better than he thought he was, but this video and the Odin one from a couple days ago just drive home the true potential of Odin and Ophelia, and I'm all here for it.

I've watched several of this series of videos. They're outstanding. The level of expertise in explaining the various facets of battle and the participating characters is clearly apparent. They're told in an interesting way, and the videos sound scripted, with a lack of pauses and "umm"s. I don't know if I'll ever play Fates in Lunatic mode, but the strategies presented here could be valuable nevertheless. Great job!

Okkk. how do you train corrin early conquest chapter? What's your bane and boon?

The Basara at 9:26 doesn't get 1-shot and has a fairly reliable 63 hit. If Ophelia had been hit before and was in Vantage range at this moment, how likely was it that she could've died here? It seems possible, but I'm not sure how likely of an outcome it would be overall given shield gauge and vantage granting 2 free gauge charges as well.

Off the top of my head, if she dodges that one spear master and doesn’t crit in return, she has about 36 HP and a full guard gauge at the start of turn 3 EP. I believe the enemy phase starts with two MOA attacks. The first is blocked and the second drops her to 16 HP, which is in Vantage range. At that point she one-shots all but the Basara, whose attack she survives.

Loving this build of Opheila and how it works not only in gameplay, but also the RPG aspect that matches her character. Which marriage partner would she have in this build if Corrin was female? I initially thought Forrest as he has immediate Dark Knight access.

Man I've got to try this Ophelia build at least once in Conquest. It looks insanely fun. Also the bible verse was very awesome! This past week I've been binge-watching all of your videos. I've learned so much so fast thanks to these. I really appreciate you explaining things ahead of time or during it. Thank you for these videos and I'm looking forward to more in the future. How long have you been playing FE?

Question, is there any reason to this with Ophelia instead of Corrin himself? Corrin can get Master of Arms, Omioji (or Swordmaster to use the Levin Sword) and Malig Knight. Which requiere 2 Friendships and they are way easier to take because Corrin is good in both offensive sides. This will create a built with Vantage, Life and Death, Trample, the Faire of choice and then heartseeker or any skill of choice but unlike her Corrin will have higher movility and because of Novility will reach It earlier. You can even take Axe Faire for Fighter or a Gunter backpack for +20 hit.

Onmyoji by friendship is not really that practical, since it’s only available through Izana, who joins after chapter 22 at the earliest. The main reason to go for Ophelia is her higher Mag cap and higher growth, which means you probably won’t have to spend as many Spirit Dusts on her to reach the kill thresholds.

@@Zoran501 But Corrin wouldnt really need Tomefaire since Trample and Swordfaire are options that could replace It. Wyvern skills will be unlock naturally because Wyvern and Samurai will be unlock through Master of Arms Trample is really the important one since It works with the Calamity Gate for Ninjas and Spearfighters, the only problem would be Falcons but the Bolt Axe higher might with universal skills like Elbow Room/Malefic Aura could replace (or Axe Faire if you hate yourself to go through Berseker just for this) It and in post Ch20 you can class change a lot without getting punish. I also don't think not using Spirits Dust is a big deal since their only other use is gold. But again, Corrin being better than someone at their job is basically 90% of the Cast. I just wanted to ask if I miss anything important or some inheritance specific shenanigans that made this imposible in Corrin. You learn something new every day. (Sorry for this block of text)

Sorry for comming again, ignore the Falcon Knight bit. The best weapon to hit the oneshot benchmark as Corrin is the Kodachi. 7+0,5 (Growths) x 35 (Lv15/20) + 1(Dark Knight class) +2(Strengh+2/Elbow Room) + 10 (Life and Death) + 7 (Gunter) + 5 (Kodachi Might) + 4 (Rally Strengh) + 2 (Strengh Tonic) +1 (Strengh Meal) +5 (Sword Faire) -1 (Weapon Triangle Disadvantage) = 61 what is the Falcon Knights benchmark in Hinoka's map and the Kinshi Knights benchmark is even lower. Heartseeker compensate for any hit issue. This is so stupid I had to share It with someone.

very late... very cheap... definitely dishonorable... but getting Tomefaire on Elise, as well as Life and Death on Odin through the unit logbook, then passing those skills to Ophelia, means Ophelia can be obtained near instantly with those two skills, follow that with one level in Samurai and she'll be set... can solo the rest of the game with this... I don't recommend this, for whoever happens to see this... but it's an option... for those wondering how to get the money for it, it will require you to feed Lilith a lot for the gold bars, but that's worth the effort
