When you backup your photos does it delete them from the phone?

Is it possible to export the photos (a few) back to the iphone, so not all?

Is downloading the app mandatory to use this flash drive? Or can it be used without it?

hello! I had a question! I can easily back up all my photos and videos but then some show up as .plist and show "unsupported file format" and I have over 4000 photos and videos. There's no way I can search through each individual pic/vid to find out which one it is. Is there any way to fix it? AKA fix the .plist into png/jpeg/vid/mov/etc?

Hi I have a question, when I transfer my photos and I check the file information, the dates seem to be rewritten as "created" and "modified" on the day that I transferred the files. Is there a way to keep the original time and date of when I took the photos? Thanks for the help!

When I searched it up it said that the flash drive supports Live Photos, but it’s not working for me. I’m so bad with electronics. I just purchased a new iPad because my old had no memory left. To my disappointment all the pictures transferred to my new iPad. I am buying a new iPhone and want to transfer all the pictures from my old iPad and iPhone to iPhone usb stick. If I need to look through the pictures can I put the stick in my phone and look through them ? I don’t have a computer?

Great video. Very informative. I have one question about the transfer of photos. When I have transferred pics from my iPad to the iXpand the pics aren’t as hi resolution when viewed in the iXpand app. When the pics are transferred back to iPad they are in the correct resolution so the flash drive has the image just not as hi res in its app. Is there a setting to rectify this or is this a flaw of the app? Hi, I just started watching your video, are you familiarw/ th VACKIIT iexpand stick? I bought it, because it said compatible with iPad Air 2 add Apple certified but I can't get it to work, there's only about five options, I don't see anywhere to make files or folders or save photos or videos ? It did say when I clicked to access contacts but I wanted photos so the only option was to accept or decline I declined.. now it says I need iflash, if I didn't never had that. Maybe it's not compatible but if you know any info please let me know otherwise if SanDisk iexpand would work with my iPad Air 2 , it is almost 10 years old,15.7.8 ios software version. just need to say my photos and videos and some notes, because my iPad might go out anytime I had dropped it and that's a lot of cracks and there's flashing lines on my iPad that the screen could possibly go out please let me know if you have any information I appreciate it so sorry so long long message thank you

As I was backing up into the drive, it was showing me that it was actually shortening the storage space on my phone! I don’t understand why but I had to stop backing up because my phone completely ran out of space. Why is it taking gigs from my phone while backing up into the flash drive? Thank you in advance.

I just ordered one of these, because I'm sick and tired of the hassle to transfer large video files from my iPhone to my PC for editing. So many times, I just can't get it to load onto my PC, and I end up having to ether use an app, or just give up. I'm really hoping this will be the answer to my prayers.

I'm guilty of saving an outrageous number of photos and videos (not to mention texts and email messages!) on both my iPhone 8 and iPad Mini 4. It's so bad that I'm running out of iCloud storage space, and keep getting alerts to either delete some photos or purchase 1 TB of additional iCloud space for $9.99/month! I've tried making some deletions, but I've done little to add to the storage. I don't want to pay every moth for a TB of space (I'm over 70 and retired), so I was about to purchase a flash drive to free up space. I forgot about a 32 GB iXpand Flash Drive that I bought a while ago, but never used. Would it make sense to transfer as many photos/videos to the flash drive I already have, and purchase another one with greater memory to free up even more space?

Hi there, why does the ixpand rename all the photos with a long name? When I open them on my Macbook Pro, it has also lost all the info about time and date so that I can't sort them either by name or date and time order. Any advice on how to fix this? Thanks.

I can not open the photos in my computer they are TYPE -->.PLIST and have a long name (2a28a42fe87455e3-adjustment). How I can change them in order to see them properly? I guess that each PLIST has a bunch of photos inside? How can extract them? OMG too many questions. I guess the idea is to copy them in my computer directly from the Scan Disk, isn't it? Thankssss

Anyone ever take the tf card out to continually swap it? Mine seems to copy some photos x2 and x4 duplicates, and it occasionally locks up which is frightening with all my sweet train videos.

You seem to be misinformed about the Lightning to SD Card Reader. To send photos to the SD Card you press share and then press Save to Files. The SD Card reader will show up there as Untitled.
