@Plantalogy
@Plantalogy 2 жыл бұрын
It can take 10-15 days to develop enough roots to grow in big pots. It depends on the variety. That's why I like to use transparent pots. It allows getting a better idea about root growth.

Thank you so much Nishat!! Very clear and informative video. I loved how you divided the video into relevant sections as well. I do have a question: My pothos have been growing in water for many months, and have long roots. Do you think the cuttings with very long roots (almost 2 feet) would survive after potting in soil, or are they too developed? Would it be simpler to just propagate cuttings from them and start with roots that are 2-3 inches like you mentioned?
@dustedpinstripes

Yes, you definitely can transplant those long-rooted cuttings in soil by following any one method. Just take care of watering, and keep the soil moist for a few weeks after repotting. The plants will be all right. 😊😊🍁🍁🍁 And highly appreciate your support and love. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

@Plantalogy
@Plantalogy 3 жыл бұрын
@@nehabajpai5270 hello🙂 Maybe your cutting has rotten that's why it's feeling smelly. In the case of the second method, you do not need to keep the soil soggy after filling up the pot with potting mix. The gradual addition of potting mix will automatically reduce the transplantation shock. After filling up the roots with soil, keep the soil moist, not soggy. Try again. Hope this time it will work. 😊😊 Best of luck.👍👍👍

Hi I was wondering what kind of sand you used? I couldn't really tell from the video. Thank you in advance!

River sand or white sand. ☺️ You can use any kind of sand except for the beach sand.☺️

Just one question! What should be level of water initially when we start the gradual soil addition process ? I am assuming that after that we just keep adding soil and no water . Please reply 🙂

Hello😊 It doesn't matter. I generally keep the water level at the lower layer (2/3cm) when adding soil. And you do not need to add extra water later. After filling the container with soil, water the cuttings, as usual, you do for other soil-rooted cuttings. 😊😊

Can I use regular potting soil for the second method? Or do I need sand/coco mix?

Hello🙂 You better use sand or cocopeat. Though you can use potting soil. But that should be excessively well-draining soil which will allow the roots to breath 🙂🙂
