Well, not many people know the art form of the best ways to travel Europe cheap. And because of this Europe has the reputation of having expensive hotels, cafes, restaurants, and sites.
If you don't budget your trip expenses quickly add up and your money disappears from your bank account faster than a package of free beer in a hostel common room.
Understandably, this scares many travelers away from visiting Europe. I mean, who wants to blow all their hard-earned cash on a quick trip around Europe (I would, but I would rather YOU travel smarter).

Listen!!. Exploring new countries is such a rewarding experience! For first-time travelers, I'd recommend considering destinations that offer a mix of cultural richness and natural beauty. Personally, I've been fortunate to travel to over 10 countries thanks to careful budgeting and smart investments.I wasnt financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my second house already, earn on a monthly through passive income and got 2 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future.

Yep those tips will work in Serbia as well. I do believe they are doing a lot of work on the train lines in Serbia. So you might have to sub some trains for buses.

Yea. It’s smart to always carry some Euros as emergency cash. And some countries like Germany are still mostly cashed based. Exchange places in airports on the streets are a rip off. Even if they say “no exchange fee”. They are giving you a crappy exchange rate. And pocketing the difference. Banks are the best place to exchange currencies. And give you the best exchange rate. I’m not sure if you can do this before leaving the US (if a US bank would have Euros on hand). But you can easily do it in Europe.

I followed the advice to open a Charles Schwab account and use their debit card at ATMs for cash at the best exchange rate and NO ATM FEES (refunded monthly). Very pleased with their customer service agents and never disappointed.

Thanks for the comment! It depends on the tour guide, length of tour, etc. Usually somewhere between 5 - 20 Euros. If the tour was just okay.... then 5 is enough. Usually I settle on 10 Euros. But 15 - 20 if it was amazing.

Trains and busses not the only options. Car/camping and stealth camper bring time flexibility and exposure to people/culture/food.

Thanks for your comment. But I’m talking about the how to travel Europe cheap and focusing on the big tourist destinations and cities. Of course you can rent a car and camp. But with the price of the rental, insurance, paying for parking in cities, and the extreme high price of gas in Europe right now it is definitely not the cheapest option.

Yes! You can get them via the app or email and don’t need to print them anymore. At least from my experiences.

Not only for young people! Some have age limits. But most don’t. But some are rather rowdy especially party hostels. So if you want something quieter you should read some reviews to make sure.

November through March is known as off season in Europe. This is when there are less tourist running around (minus some places that get busy during Christmas). Prices are a little cheaper. Lines are a lot smaller. But the weather isn’t the best. Hope that helped :)

It depends on how you like the tour and how many hours it is. I would say the normal is anywhere from $10 - $30.

Many people say budget airlines in Europe have many rules but actually there are just 2. Print out the boarding pass (or have it in their app) and observe the dimensions your carry on bag needs to have to not be charge when exceeding it. Ok, plus register your personal data (passport nr, name, surname) correctly, do not make mistakes. You will get a seat in the plane for advertized price. If you want to add bags, food, water, choose another seat etc. that all will cost you. Of course for first time user Ryanair homepage can be overwhelming with it asking to pay for 100s of thingsyou do not need

Hey Arif! Thanks for the awesome comment. I’m pumped for your first trip! And you’re in luck! My next video (coming out Saturday) is a deep dive into Eurail. So it will have tons of helpful info for you. For Eurail Frankfurt is also a great place to start. Because a lot of high speed trains go through. And you have great options in every direction. I will say… 10 countries in 30 days in ambitious. I would consider cutting it down a lot. When you factor in trains every other day and, dragging luggage from hotel to hotel. It would be insanely exhausting. My honest opinion would be not to do more than 3 countries in a month. Every country in Europe has many cool things to see. And I’ve gotten a few comments now about how to make a good travel plan for Europe! So maybe I’ll make a video on that in the next month. I have a couple I need to finish before I get to it.

just use flexibus if you dont care about your own life. the drivers work so many hours they simply crash the bus it just happen one more time. and it's the same reason why sleeping bus is ban in eu so dont use a bus in eu unless you fell like risking your own life

So I’ve never had a problem with flexibus. And I know the EU has super strict laws about how long bus drivers are allowed to drive (9 hours a day, then they have to have an 11 hour break). I’m sorry you’ve felt in danger in flixbus. Personally I’ve taken then all across Europe and haven’t felt unsafe once. They always switch out drivers within the correct time. Are generally on time. And over the last couple years have gotten newer buses.

Glad you liked the video! And thanks for watching. So to answer your questions. Most hostels have lockers beside or under your bed (you need your own pad lock in most cases). You can lock your gear up. Your passport as well. When traveling to keep your passport safe you could get a passport belt or wallet. I think the best tip is to always keep your passport in the same place ( same pocket of your backpack for example). And pay closer attention whoever you keep it. I’ve literally spent years traveling. And have never had a passport issue. But On the other hand I have known people who have.

Hey!! A kiwi :). I love NZ. I lived in Queenstown for a year. So that is a good option. And lots of potential for adventure. As far as cheaper…..idk. There is a few things to keep in mind. Insurance, parking and gas. Gas is normally expensive in Europe. But right now because of Russia/Ukraine it is crazy expensive. So for 3 months I could almost guarantee that a Eurail pass is going to be cheaper. I racking my brain trying to remember how insurance works for car rentals in Europe. (It has been a couple years.) I’m pretty sure your covered throughout the EU. But double check that. Some countries are super strict with their insurance policies. Oh and make sure you have an international driver license. Most places won’t rent a car to you without it. And parking in the bigger cities can be hard. And will end up costing you money. Even in some smaller cities. That’s another expense to keep in mind. Hope that helped.

I agree with researching where you plan on going and setting a bare bones budget for your time and travel. I always do, and then I double that best case cheap scenario amount of money. It's usually spot on and accounts for hidden fees, and expensive inconveniences. I would add that there is always a cheaper way, but I won't mention them because you end up paying with your safety, so I recommend following his tips. Safety is sexy, great video.

Do the guides live off the tour price of 50 to 100 Euros, for 10 to 20 people in a group, for 60 to 90 minutes (and are sometimes confused, or have less information that their tourists)..or do they "live off the tips" ... I always tip for professional services, but not poor tours
