These tricks helped me a lot in doing my projects. My ripple trims are default (Q and W) and then E for add edit.

I set these to vegas pro hotkeys, its so much easier thanks!

This was GREAT! Definitely gonna start weaning myself off the Razor tool. And this also inspired me to start setting more single key shortcuts for other frequent tasks. Simple cuts the razor blade tool can work fast. Press "C" then "V" to switch between tools. You can cut a single track or all the them by holding Shift when you click the razor tool.

I always switched to the razor blade via a shortcut (C), cutting the ends of the part I wanted to delete, switched to the regular selector tool with a shortcut (V), then selected the piece, then ripple deleted with A. Good to know there's a better way, thanks for the video Chris! A question I've had for a while: the bulk of my audio editing process involves cutting out pauses. Is there any way to at least partially automate this task? I feel like there should be some option or some plugin that will cut out any silence longer than some inputted amount of time.
