It's amazing, I haven't found a single tuning video that tells beginners what to do if the tuner shows a completely different note, meaning it's way to flat or sharp. What an amazing oversight for professional videos (leading to lots of broken strings no doubt!).

Good free tuning app. I had to stay with Manual Tuning on the app because auto tuning feature kept recognizing all 6 strings as E string. And once a string is in tuned the app thinks it's out of tuned if I played the same string again to make sure.

I usually place the phone closer to the middle of the pickups where the guitar is played and continuously play the string as close to the same pressure and dial iit in that way.

HI , i have just changed the strings on my acoustic guitar . for some odd reason its not staying in tune as usual . ive been struggling the last couple of days to tune it properly . generally i just tune it by feeling , as i know what sound i want . :) but i haven't been successful. very frustrated . i decided to call on the internet . i found your website and clicked the tuner video .and i also saw there was an app . i proceeded to download the app and try it . afterwards ( painless ) i has the PERFECT sound again . Thank you very much for this tool . Cheers from Sweden !

This is what happened with it basically. I try tuning E, it says i tuned it. When i try tuning A, it thinks i'm trying to tune E or something, but its always most certainly not A. Its actually kind of frustrating because i'm new and i just brought my guitar so i don't want to be held back simply because i am having difficulty tuning it. Honestly didn't know tuning was a thing before i brought it.

@@danielamillot1455 I don’t remember it, what I do remember is that turning those snares are scary. They sometimes need to stretch a lot. That was probably also the case.

Alright, for some reason, as i got to the G, B, and high e, it seems as if it’s going to snap.... i stopped with the progress otherwise it will definitely snap. Can someone tell me if thin, thick, or other strings might impact this or not because I haven’t been able to get a tune in at all 😭😭😢

I have four Fender Strats and one Tele, I am a Fender fan. Over my nice Gibsons. I played Fender Acoustics and they are bad. The things can't get sound past three feet. They can't do a proper acoustic guitar to save the planet. Never for many of us. I never see them pro!
