How to TURN UP a Samsung Fridge's Temperature

Your Samsung fridge temperature is set at 36 F. You want to set the temperature UP to 37 F to save some energy and money. You hit the temperature control button twice and the temperature goes DOWN to 35 F. Then you discover there is no up button! Press the temperature control button again, and it goes down to 34 F. Now you are scared. If you keep hitting that button, you fear the temperature will keep going down. How the heck do you get the temperature to go up to where you want it?

Brilliant. You have helped me to finally adjust our fridge after almost a year. Our freezer was at minus 3 and playing around it went to -4 then I tried again and -5 and I just stopped. Now thanks to you guys our freezer is a 0 where we wanted it all along. So we will let things calm down and adjust as needed now. ;)

Thank you for taking the time to post this. It was helpful. I needed help just checking the temp after the freezer door was left a crack open all night and both freezer and refrigerator portions read in the high forties. Did not how to interpret the screen, and what each temp meant, until now. Manual did not help. Apparently when the door is open, the compressor stops?

This works withy side-by-side Samsung RH22H9010. It probably works like this on lots of models with these screens. Thanks tons!

I have a Samsung and I've previously owned GE, Frigidaire, and Kenmore. The Samsung seemed like a step up in technology but it's much less intuitive. It can also be very tricky to remove parts for cleaning. I was very impressed at first but, its hard to do maintenance on it because release buttons are hard to access. Also, the icemaker is notorious for freezing up, which is a nightmare.

My bottom one stoped working about a month ago and now the top one with the ice dispenser has stoped working also but it has the light off on. Can you tell me how to have the top (refrigerator) icemaker OFF and the bottom icemaker ON on this exact model? One of the buttons was accidentally hit and I'm not sure it's set right any more. Thank you.
