When running flooring you can use this undercutting saw so the floor will sit below the jamb itself. It looks so much better than just bumping the flooring up next to it.

put masking tape along the edge to keep wood from splintering..

When I did my flooring , the tool was very expensive about 450 bucks......so I used a 7 in. angle grinder ...took me a week to make the jig for it, but worked really well. I don't recommend one do what I did. I think the tool has come down in price, buy it.

Yes Home Depot has some great rental options because you’re right that tool is expensive.

@@BeauandKendall It 0:49, the audio seems to switch. Your voice doesn't come through, but I can still hear the background music fine.

We actually rented this from Home Depot. The brand is Roberts Jamb Saw. 6 inch blade. Hope this helps!
