In this video, I am showing how to update the Ancel FX3000 OBD2 professional diagnostic scanner tool. This method will also work on other Ancel scanner such as FX2000, FX4000, FX6000.

Thanks for the great video. it is pretty simple. it took me exactly 7 minutes to update all. I believe the update time depends on internet speed.

Very informative content. I am thinking of buying one and choosing between fx2000 and fx3000. Just a few question, can I delete the codes for srs/abs on fx2000? and also there is no reset function for the fx2000 on the srs/abs, is it important to have? Thank you

Hello, i have a blank screen after starting up. I've tried updating via computer and nothing is working. Do you have any idea on how to reset the entire device to factory settings?

Got the 2000 ...no case available 🤷 shows package on amazon with case that doesn't even work ...said I had multiple misfires but no check engine lights have ever been on in my car runs amazing .. hopefully update will fix that

There could be several reasons for that. Error codes were never erased at some point in past, after the problem was fixed. Sometimes error codes are pending, when the issue hasn’t manifest itself enough yet. Sometimes misfire could be random or intermittent, so you may not even have any long lasting symptoms with the car.

Have you tried both methods? Also try a different web browser maybe, like Chrome or IE11. Make sure you don’t have a pop up blocker turned on.

What version should it be updated too? Today is the 7th of April 2021 my tool is saying 10 point something as for the version

When updating via the cord, do you have to click yes on update when connected or can you plug it in and update with out clicking yes?

Also how do I know if it was updated. I took a pic of the software version before hand it had nothing changed right after I did the update.

FX4000 has a few more features, but fir the most part they are very similar.

Don't plan on it any time soon. I don't enjoy making reviews as much as brake/fix videos. Plus Im pretty loaded with car scanners for now.

I tried downloading the updates but someway some how after I click device upgrade it then comes to another screen that has the username which is the device serial number and it ask for user password I tried the password I sign up with but it constantly said password error can anyone help?

Connect your tool and go to "Help" section. Open "Tool Information". You will find the serial number and registration code there.

My scanner Ancel fx2000 can't support vehicle cars Japan, those product in Indonesia as Avanza,xenia,rush,Terios,ertiga,APV etc..
