hm yeah updating bios will always be preferable especially in new builds (motherboards usually come with really old bios versions). for version just choose the latest, there's no specific version to pick

yeah i did update my 2200g a320m to 3700x a320m. and yes i suggest you update the motherboard first just to be sure, not all motherboards come with 3rd gen support out of the box

of course you can, it's up to you if you want to update but the possibility is for sure there is there's a later version on the same motherboard

yes thats where your mistake is, you must do the bios update first then the cpu installation. use your 1700x to flash the bios after that you can proceed with the cpu installation

i don't know if you already know the answer but most likely yes, you have the same motherboard as the creator of this video you would need a P7.30 Bios for the Ryzen 5 5600g to work, make sure you update the bios before switching the processor and avoid power interruption while updating. please check the motherboard cpu support page to know what cpu is compatible with your current bios so that you know if you have to update your bios or not. hope i cleared some things up cheers

no idea if that motherboard has up to date drivers but if it doesnt you can always flash your bios with an old 1000/2000 series ryzen

If your having issues I updated to 6.6 a while ago. I am now inmstalling a 3060 and 5600x cpu to this mother board and needed to update my bios. I was getting these failed security checks when I tried to install from 6.6 - 7.0 (7.0 Is required for 7.1 that allows 5000 series CPUS). After seeing many threads saying things like use a smaller thumbdrive or use these alternative programs to force a bios update I was like this is ridicolous. Luckily I came upon this Experimental Bios update Im not sure if it was made by AsRock or someone playing with the bios but it was a life saver (Keep in mind I was using a A10-9700 to allow my computer to post while I tried to update to a compatible bios if you dont do this this you will need to find a loaner somewhere)... Anyways this Update was called 6.61 as I said before its labeled as experimental and you will not find it on the AsRock Website for this product. You need to go to the following link www.reddit.com/r/ASRock/comments/kefbfq/new_experimental_bios_for_amd_300_series/ There I was able to find my specific model the A320M-ITX and the holy 6.61 update. This did infact install and My 5600x does post now. Was so glad for finding this BIOS and I will not be updating this bios until absolutely have to.

Your out of box mobo is updated with required bios version compatible with 3200g OR have to update???

@@ramadjati4026 you may have bricked the mobo

did it start to do that after you updated your bios? try resetting the bios, by removing the cmos battery or by the screwdriver method(tutorial is on my channel too). otherwise if that doesn't work I think you mightve bricked your motherboard, because of a sudden power cut/failure during the motherboard update

It start to happen when i try to change the cpu to ryzen 5 3600.. after i change back to my old cpu ryzen 5 3400G , it looks ok.. ok i try the reset method first. See how it goes..

hm yea all 1000 and 2000 series generation are considered old, make sure to use your 1300x to flash your bios first before switching to that 3600x

the psu is fine, but the problem is you have to flash your bios with a compatible cpu first, if you use a 3rd gen right away it just won't boot, you have to use a first gen/second gen ryzen first to flash its bios, then you can use your 3700x

extract the rar file first, make sure its an unreadable file in windows, then you can use that file to bios flash

@@cassielao8463 make sure its the exact specific version for your motnerboard, or else it wont work. for instance if you got an a320m hdv make sure its exactly that and do make sure the end of the model (hdv) is the exact same

it needs to be formatted to FAT32. It will erase everything inside the flashdrive.

it does but I suggest not to go above 5600x, 5800x and others are power hungry and produces a lot of heat, definitely not recommended for a basic a320m

@@kaelanji ah its no more than a day, thats usually understandable since its what happens to me too when i first switched to the 3rd gen ryzen with an a320m board

@@kaelanji everytime you bios flash it resets everything to factory settings, if you had set smth before you might want to set it up again after the bios update. Quoted from an article they mentioned that this fixed their bsod after bios update problem : "thx man you fix my problem my ssd was in ide and after doing bios uptade it was ahci you saved me tech fees for a stupid thing"

@@KLAI if you dont have an older cpu than the 3rd generation then it wont work, you have to use an older generation CPU that comes supported out of the box and update the BIOS, if you dont have a supported CPU then it wont work

aoc 24g2 (main), lg lg 24mp59g (secondary). would advise against the LG one tho since i wanted to use a vesa mount but the LG one didnt support it which spoiled the whole setup

@@DK-px3xn maybe you downloaded the wrong bios version for your specific motherboard, also dont forget to make sure your flashdrive is empty and only has the bios content in it so its easy

@@girlsinbunnysuits maybe it's the wrong bios, like my motherboard, there are lots of a320 version, not just a320-hdv but there's a whole not more like a320m-s2h/a320m-k/a320m-hdv r. 4.0. you really gotta be specific in each and every variant of your motherboard, all that listed above is only asrock lol, not to mention other manufacturers

might wanna scroll around and read the comments under this video, most of it have fixed the issue

@Real Gamer it's something to do with windows, worst case scenario you gotta reinstall but you can always try to reset but keep your files

make sure you extracted the rar file first so that the only thing in the flash drive is an unreadable file (from desktop) so that bios can read it
