Download Any From 10.10 To 10.15 MacOs
It takes time to download and install macOS, so make sure that you're plugged into AC power and have a reliable internet connection.
These installers from the App Store open automatically after you download them:
macOS Catalina 10.15 can upgrade Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks
macOS Mojave 10.14 can upgrade High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion
macOS High Sierra 10.13 can upgrade Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion, Lion
Your web browser downloads the following older installers as a disk image named InstallOS.dmg or InstallMacOSX.dmg. Open the disk image, then open the .pkg installer inside the disk image. It installs an app named Install [Version Name]. Open that app from your Applications folder to begin installing the operating system.
macOS Sierra 10.12 can upgrade El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion, or Lion
OS X El Capitan 10.11 can upgrade Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard
OS X Yosemite 10.10 can upgrade Mavericks, Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard
So Basically if you factory reset your MacBook 2012 then you will go back to older operating system near by 10.8 if you got 10.9 you are lucky
but for latest operating system required 10.9 or later
so have to go by these steps
first update to 10.11.6 then update to 10.15.1
from 10.11.6 to 1o.15.1 watch this video

It works for me! I reset my iMac 2015 and the current OS that I had was OS Mountain Lion. I tried to upgrade to High Sierra but I kept getting error 102. I followed all the steps. Thanks!

Dude you helped me so much. I went into the Apple store and got a new hard drive because the one I recently had failed and wouldn't get past the booting screen. Long story short, the guy told me I had to make a few updates but had no idea what he meant by that. I got worried that I was doing something wrong until I found this. Seriously dude, thank you so much for this video, without it, I'd probably be clueless for a good while. 🙂👍 Edit: I went straight to Sierra before thinking of El Captain, but thank you either way. The tutorial made me realize what to do next!

Mudasir Suleman Dear friend You need only Apple ID to install any app on MacBook if you don’t have Apple ID you can make one for free from you no need any other information But there is some apps are paid you need payment like many office Final Cut Pro x kind of I some videos show how to download and install office free By the way what app you try to install?
