A caliper can take you back to the days of your high school science classes, which might be the only time you remember needing one. Now, in Better Beaders Episode 125, Allie shows you how to use a caliper when beading. It's never a bad idea to double-check the sizes of your beads before getting deep into a project. one thought you forgot to mention with your calliper. you can measure the inside dimensions of your ring, ETC.

I agree. Very useful in determining the inner diameter of jump rings.

You did not show how to use the measuring tool on the top. I bet there are many people who don’t know how to measure a bead cap, or something else where you need an interior measurement. Just a suggestion for more to be a better header.

Use the upper, smaller set of prongs, inside the ring. Great for checking I.D. of large hole beads for leather, too.
